Hi, I really love this mod. It adds so much life and realism to the game. Not trying to be annoying, but do you intend to update it to 1.6?

Hi, Mlie! First, as always, thanks for EVERYTHING you do for the rimworld community.

Second. I noticed a small bug with this mod. Not a huge thing but... anyway. when two pawns enter a relationship they get a moodlet called "New Relationship Energy". If you hover over it, it says in quotes "I just found a new lover, [NameA], and its so exciting." thing is... Pawn A is the one who has that moodlet. They both have it but are both saying "I'm so happy I found myself!" lol. I'm sure its just a oopsied mismatch. Any chance of a quick fix at some point? Thanks again.

Right but then doesn't it make sense to adapt the mod to Ideologies by allowing ideologies to cause one of a set of social determinants upon sexual preference?

Oh.. Sorry, it says in the Compatibility section that it's fully compatible with "Edb Prepare Carefully." I swapped to that one to be safe

Compatible with Character Editor? I like that one more than EDB Prepare Carefully, so I just wanted to check if that works. Great mod, thank you for your hard work!

Thanks for the response, Mlie. From what I can tell, there is no way to actually fill the need bar. It just goes down an down and gives a mood penalty, even for my pawns who are already in relationships.

@The Bard of Hearts I just updated the mod, I have no time to expand it. But from the code it seems that lovin is not required, only being in a relationship.

Question... does the "Human Contact" Need not actually work? It seems to go down at a steady clip but doesn't go back up after Lovin'. So what's the point? I see it says "experimental", does that mean there is no chance of it ever being implemented in the future?

Hey, I just created a pull request to fix a bug that causes an infinite loop upon a polyamorous pawn with a polyamorous fiancee enters a new relationship (which then forces you to close to desktop)

If you install this mod, you will only be able to have one lover or spouse.
The moment you have a second spouse, you will be divorced.

Pawn hookups seem to be broken, They request hookups but when they accept they never do. As for the logs it starts somewhere at around 4400.

I don't know if someone else already mentioned this, but this mod ignores multiple spouse ideologies, colonists always act as if they are monogamous unless they have the polyamorous trait

@FrozenChicken01 looking at the steam page for both, it seems RR1 has compatibility patches for a bunch of other mods and this one doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any feature differences as far as the descriptions are concerned.

Is it possible to simply slow down the rate at which pawns become lovers and then get married? In a 10 day old colony, 4 of my 5 starting pawns have fallen in love and gotten married.

I'm having Issues too, Hook ups seem to not work. I built a colony with the base game + DLC and this mod, and locked two pawns in a room with their bed so they would get the hook up interaction. Just like with my original save with all my other mods, one of the pawns go to the bed to start, and the other just wanders off.

This mod has issues now. Constantly get errors about hookups and dates. Started a new test colony that only had the minimums and this mod. Still got the errors even though I built the colony specifically to cause the interactions. Tried it with 123 Personalities and VSIE too. Same problem. Even adjusted order and turned off parts of VSIE. Really need something more modern to replace it since M3 is nowhere to be seen,

If you kill the pawns and resurrect them, it stops the spam. In the end I removed the mod as it was too annoying in the end.

So not sure if this is due to this mod, as the original mod has a post about this error, but heres the issue-

Its not game breaking "yet" but idk if this is something that could be fixed, or a way to stop it from happening, save for deleting pawns which does work mind you, just rather not if possible, kinda attached to the pawn the issues on lol. the last of my starter pawns still left alive.

Figured id ask here first, as its my best shot since the original RR2 had this issue it looks like possibly.

Reporting 2 bugs. "New-relationship-energy" in the "Needs" tab shows "I just found a new lover, [name], and it is so exciting!", but the name being shown is the name of the pawn himself, not the new lover's name. Also, when a polyamourous pawn accepts a romance attempt and begins a new affair, in the Social tab of the original lover, the opinion of the polyamorous pawn suffers -10 "[poly pawn] stole [new lover] away from me. What makes [him|her] so much better?", which is strange since the new lover meant nothing to the original lover. If the romance attempt was made by the poly pawn, the new lover pawn correctly suffers -10 in the original lover's opinion. I've lowered the base lover buff +35 to +5 to see this happen, so maybe code-wise, it doesn't consider the possibility that poly does not initiate the new affair.

I've never seen a date yet either. I tried fiddling with the lover opinion and using the Display Interactions Info to look at RomanceAttempt, and found that if a pawn has +25 or higher opinion of his/her lover (number 25 is used in cheat chance calc as well), RomanceAttempt sel weight and sel chance against other viable pawns just goes to 0. Since default opinion for a lover is set at +35, it looks to me like cheating does not happen in normal circumstance (nevermind that if a polyamorous pawn's lover is a non-poly, the RomanceChance plummets to 0 no matter what).
I was hoping for a little soap opera colony, but I don't think I will get it without forcing dev interactions.

I like to test the polyamory, but have not been able to get my pawn with the Polyamorous trait to cheat (his current lover is also polyamorous, but they are both so faithful...). I have the "Polyamorous New Lover Seek Coefficient" to the max 3, but I am confused about the "Polyamorous Attachment Coefficient". Reading the description, it looks like I should set this close to 0 for little attachment and more cheat chance, but the code looks like I should instead put it to max 3? (I am not familiar enough with InverseLerp so I could be misinterpreting). Any advice or insight would be appreciated!

for the record, you CAN get this mod to 'play nice' with Vanilla Social Interactions Expanded. I've been using both with very little issue. What I did was set RR2 to load after VSIE, as well as disable VSIE 'dating' and 'one night stand' events. So fair I've had no problems with the cheating and hook up mechanics, though I haven't been able to get a date to occur yet (though that might just be the colony I have). Aside from that, I've had no other issues with using them both.

From a brief look at the code, RR2 seems to add a "human contact" need, some kind of support for RJW androids and more complete polyamory.
