too bad it's not maintained anymore, I'm stuck in the briefing scene, can't move, briefing task didn't complete itself despite me being told to destroy the intel etc.

good mission but it got laggy near the end and couldnt complete it cause the even though i found the last slug nobody really acknowledged it

Lol I love how the ultra-advanced helmet system lacks night vision, yes, instead let's listen for enemies in the night like a bat. Great job CSAT

HI Doln! I'm really impressed with your work. and I would like to make a petition. I would like to reuse some parts of your work in a custom mission for my comunnity. You will be properly quoted and it would only be played in the community. I would only use the code related to defender OS and the audio related to it. No OST use or voice acting related to players or NPCs (apart from the voice of Defender OS).

Do you agree with this?

Certainly the most creative mission I have played, and certainly the most creative premise as far as mods are concerned. I really do hope the "Defender" HUD becomes it's own separate addon later on down the road.

This thing has a lot of potential, and I eagerly await the campaign release.

Great mission. Very fine attention to detail. Kamino was much more believable as a base than any base in the BI campaign from ArmA3 awesome job plus the characters had life breathed into them, something many scenarios dont do. Annother thing which to few scenarios do well that you did was auto save placement. I never felt like I got dropped way back in the action after I died.

A two things that can be improved: When I was clearing the second house (it was when I was looking for the warhead, but before I joined the Russian squad) a hint was displayed. It appeared the hint was indicating something with the railgun. The second is the intro and outro videos (not the cut scene but the videos) are of a phenominal quality, but on a 16 by 10 monitor, I get little bits of the screen showing. Adding a black background on the game would fix that without affecting the video.

Lastly, a script with the Defender HUD 3d Marker stuff would be awesome.

The best mission i've played so far in the workshop,
-nice voice acting
-Very nice cinematics
-nice gameplay
-and a lot more of incredible experience :D:

Wow, this is one of the greatest missions I have ever played, both scripting- and immersion-wise. Would you care to submit it to the OFPEC forums for a confirmative test and ultimately, review? OFPEC is a long standing group (since OFP came out) of mission editors and testers, one of few community sites that does mission reviews. Check it out at www.ofpec.com .

If I eject from the helicopter on the start, the helicopter and its sound is stuck for the rest of the map.

This is very good! Gives off the vibe and tech I was hoping for before BIS caved and kept things very near-future rather than taking a leap forward with railgun tanks and the like. I hope you build on this and bring ArmA 3 into the future! Some feedback (haven't finished it yet): dialogue timing and syncing dialogue correctly (e.g. early on some guy says "damn" whereas the subtitle as "fuck". Plus, be able to keep the Defender objectives on all the time when toggled. Thanks!

i am sorry but this is just way too bugged, the defender OS is nice, but its also bugged and barely useful, sometimes i think that you should try to make it an addon instead of an mission just to see if you can increase the use for it, and to try to make the game make more sense by just adding the ammo counter only if you have the helmet on and all that crap, but really, the mission has a big amount of bugs, even on the voiceacting init when they overlap each other, i am not even gonna mention the voice acting, and what's the point of a lt. "recruit" being a squad leader of a 6 man team being the only squad sent to retrieve 2 nuclear devices without any support or even a medic?

I really enjoyed this mission, great structure and difficulty, not crazy about the Defender system like most, but it's a cool little thing which intergrates nicely with the mission, I like that it allows me to choose when to see a marker for an objective, and the positioning on where fire is coming from is neat too, a lot of stuff that videogames have already spoiled us on. II go between really thankful that it's there and using it a lot to feeling like it's basically cheating, but I guess everything is fair in war.

Regardless of the somewhat lackluster Defender system it was a fun mission, has some cool little dialouges, has heart. Definately looking for more thought-out scenarios like this.

What are the Units that are walking around the base at the beginning. I've never seen them before and this is Mod free so what are they? (Not the OPFOR units. Like the unit that was helping showcase the Defender in the military uniform, not the guy in the shirt) I think they had the Russian flag on them.

The campaign is going to remain mod free for a number of reasons.

1. Less mods = more accesible

2. Steam workshop doesn't support mods (yet)

3. The Make Arma not War rules state you can't have mods in the singleplayer category.

I chose the TRG for the russians to continue the historical trend of irregular forces being armed with russian weaponry, and it would be easier to equip 6 russians with TRGs than it would be to equip all the FIA enemies with Katibas.

One of the best arma 3 missions from the workshop I've played yet. Soooo polished. I'm usually not a fan of cutscenes, but this did it well.

Very nice, but the cutscenes seemkinda laggy. Also, the low light situation thing doesn't help at all, all it does is place a chemlight on you, which doesn't really let you see enemies.

hey dude are you going to add mods cause i can suggest one hlcs weapon pack it has the all the aks from the akm to the ak12 instead of the rebels using trgs they could use akm and ak74 and the ak12 could be used by the russian army

Fantastic mission, the concept of the Defender is just awesome. However my FPS were between 15 and 25, therefor the mission was unplayable especially during combat. Try to find a way to optimise that. SPECS: i5 3570k / 560ti 8gig RAM

I have problem with this mission, after loading mission (I was killed), enemy AI become immortal and they dont react on me, I cannot even complete third objective.

This was great! made all the way to the end with no casualties, lost 1 guy in the final firefight, and another who didn't board the heli and ate some tungesten.

The shot finder helped a lot in CQC, as I was able to quickly adjust my hipfire and knock down targets really quick. The strat map isn't useful for now, I assume we'll have some missions with it being used in Poltergeist.

Lowlight mode also helped a lot when clearing the buildings.
I am curious about the Russian troops. Custom textures applied on the AAF uniforms, and I assume on the Orca/Ka60? They are quite awesome, although I wish they had a more appropriate weapon.
