Instead of overwriting the def for the water tower, please consider using an xpath patch instead. Overwriting it means any other patches that are applied to the def before your mod are just thrown in the trashcan. It's generally a very bad practice to overwrite defs rather than patching them.

The mod is a single XML patch (BuildingsD_WaterManagement.xml). As far as I'm concerned the mod works as it should. Thank you for creating it.

After the last Bad Hygiene update, this patch causes mental states to not work somehow. Or at least, removing this patch fixed it for me.

Checked in the devmode: manhunting packs are peacefull, only mental breaks happening are catatonic cause they're hediffs and not mental states, berserk psycast and insanity lance don't work (that's how I noticed), and in general giving a mental state to a pawn doesn't do anything.

In there you can see, that I added Trade UI Revised to the save, but I checked, that wasn't the issue.

@Geronimo I tested and in my game the electric water pumps can find the water towers but i will thinking of your problem. I just changed the draw size nothing else.

@Dardakan I figured out the issue with the black water tower. It was not your mod. It happens when converting textures using Rimpy and using "Graphics Settings - Redefine RimWorld"

The "fix" I had was to delete Dubs, redownload dubs, and not convert textures on it this time.

After testing this it seems to remove detection for electric water pumps. I have a constant text alert saying my pumps cannot find a source of water and need to build them. Not sure why this happening.

I don't know why the game did this. My mod it's a simple mod, I just changed the draw size and the position. Sorry but I don't know what is this bug :/ BUT i will thinking for it.

I do not think it is caused by this mod, but perhaps someone knows the answer? My water towers all have a big black rectangle as the background behind them. Nothing else seems to be affected.

@ClinkyDink Basically it makes it so that only the "base" of the tower counts when figuring out where you can place it. It makes less sense to not be able to to snuggle the water tower up against a wall or another building because the top of the tower (which is technically directly above the base but looks offset because of perspective) is "in the way".

@ClinkyDink I think it makes the water towers able to exist on wall tiles as well, treating them as if they are ontop of your building.
