I could, but as mentioned below, I don't think there's a way to do it without the surgeons talking to ray unprompted - which i think would mostly just be annoying. you can use ray to talk using bugs ircc

Did you ever get Ray to speak to surgeons?

You might be able to give surgeons an EV_SEES_NEUTRAL_PLAYER dialogue tree. Where the condition is an isCharacter Ray. That way you might be able to get the surgeon to initiate the dialogue if nothing else.

Not sure if that's possible with how restrictive the FCS is, but I'll look into it. The main problem would be making that voluntary on the player's part

Wondering if.. it would be nice.. you know.. if Ray can 'talk' to surgeons.
Something like "Ray gestures and tries to show he wants a new face..' then you get the char screen.
Ultimate mode: make the surgeon randomly not understand like "What with that guy?!" and back to gesture again..

@Dawud Sandstorm In one of the slave markets (I found them in the one between Catun and Clownsteady) you can find a drunken slave-owner complaining about their new slave who doesn't talk. The slave is a Hiver soldier named Ray, and you can offer to buy him for 1000 cats. He reacts to being bought with a "..." and I haven't seen a peep out of him since.
