Would love to have that alternate nutrient paste thing as it's own mod, shame.

Quite a shame that this mod appears to broken and the mod seems to no longer get support.

I originally didn't notice any problems until I kept getting a version error in my mod logs (Yes, I'm aware there are two versions and I only have this one installed.) Then as I read into the comments over the last year I've noticed that not a single problem has been addressed by the author nor has this been updated in just as long.

Hopefully someone picks up the mantle for this project, would be nice to have it running again.

Yeah Stew pots are still being taken by Tamer/trainers when they try to handle animals.

Hey all, I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I placed down the stew pot (and might I add I had to rebuild it outside because my kitchen got up to 110 + degrees in like a minute before I had to emergency demo it , and since you can uninstall it I had to destroy and rebuild it :( ) and one prep table beside it. My colonists put vegetables on the table (not vanilla, one of the veggies from vanilla expanded) but no one would eat from the stew pot. They wouldn't automatically take from it and I couldn't manually get them to eat from it either. I didn't try adding meat because the pot was outside and the meat would rot away quickly. What did I do wrong? I have the other fortification medieval mods installed.

+1 tamers/trainers just took whole stew building into pocket instead of meal ;/ Didnt find anything strange in logs, using Fortification: Medieval, Medieval Material, Medieval misc, Neolithic
Danroak 8 Jan, 2022 @ 10:05pm
So...it might have something to do with pawns trying to use stew to train/tame animals. I found it was only my handlers that kept picking up the stew pot.
Danroak 7 Jan, 2022 @ 11:17pm
I was wondering why my stew pot kept dissapearing...turns out somehow they were inside pawn's pocket. Seems like this is a known issue. Shame, I really like the aesthetic and function of this mod..
Stargazer 24 Nov, 2021 @ 1:03pm
Is the stew pot supposed to create a ridiculous amount of heat? A single one cooks my base more than multiple hearths and makes it nigh unusable.
Stargazer 9 Nov, 2021 @ 2:59pm
Heh, I'm not even using the minifying mod and I just had one of my pawns steal the pot. There's also some issue somewhere of pawns queuing up for stew and refusing to move until they get some, even if there's no food in the adjacent hopper.
[Khorne] Shits'N'Giggles 1 Nov, 2021 @ 8:32am
my pawns also seem to stick the stew pot in their pockets haha, im not using any of the other fortification mods but i am using the minifying mod
a.gusaas 17 Oct, 2021 @ 9:45am
@Denneisk I have the rest of the medieval fortification series and the neolithic one as well. I have a very long mod list, so it's possible that there's a weird interaction in there somewhere.
Giveth 14 Oct, 2021 @ 5:18pm
Actually, after some time playing it is still happening. I used the Qol tool to make it minifiable so its not as much of a problem. Pawns are still rarely minifying the stew pot and running off with it.

I also noticed that if there's a stack of raw food that is less than 6, pawns will just stand in front of the pot doing nothing.
Denneisk  [author] 13 Oct, 2021 @ 12:16pm
@slavetothegrave Wow thanks, I had little hope it would work.
Giveth 13 Oct, 2021 @ 7:23am
Update fixes my issue, thank you!

Just running Core and this
Denneisk  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 10:21am
To all of you who are having stew pot picking up bugs, are you using this with any other Fortifications mods? This doesn't normally happen.
Giveth 11 Oct, 2021 @ 10:05am
My pawns are also picking up the stew pot, minifying it and holding it as if they were holding a meal

When forcing the pawn to drop it, it is fully built at the position it was dropped.

This makes the stew pot unusable, for now.
a.gusaas 9 Oct, 2021 @ 10:48pm
My pawns are also picking up the stew pot. They've taken 3 so far.

The descriptions of the original mod page are full of broken images. So there is no info on this mod here or there.
AOBA 24 Sep, 2021 @ 4:52am
nice
Vartarhoz 20 Sep, 2021 @ 11:02am
I set up dispenser and vanometic cell combo, played like 10 minutes, no, pawns don't take whole dispenser to inventory. Only Stew Pot has this problem. Its funny to see pawns took whole pot into inventory and it weights 1 kg. Here is detailed explanation.

I set up Stew Pot, put tables around it (like dispenser). It works fine. Pawns take stews, eat. Then a random (yea truly random, no specific) pawns comes and take stew pot to inventory. Their action on hud is "Taking Stew Pot to inventory"

I don't know if mods fault or incompatibility with other mods. It doesn't happen to another building. No console error. Weird.

I also installed "Equip Food" mod to disable taking foods to inventory. No it didn't fix my problem. Even though they don't take foods, they steal my god damn stew pot. (Note: There is no kleptomania trait mod installed)
Denneisk  [author] 20 Sep, 2021 @ 4:27am
@Vartarhoz What do you mean "whole pot"? Does the same thing happen with nutrient paste dispensers?
Vartarhoz 20 Sep, 2021 @ 2:07am
I have no idea but my pawns taking WHOLE pot to inventory. Wtf. I used "no carry food" "disable minify" disable pick and haul, nothing ever fixes this. I wonder why.
[Khorne] Shits'N'Giggles 13 Sep, 2021 @ 3:35pm
@denneisk, awesome thanks!
Denneisk  [author] 13 Sep, 2021 @ 1:56pm
@[Khorne] Shits'N'Giggles It actually counts as a simple meal.
[Khorne] Shits'N'Giggles 12 Sep, 2021 @ 5:39pm
does the food coming out of the stew pot count as paste?
Denneisk  [author] 8 Sep, 2021 @ 8:59pm
@Gunt Fuchmann You do not need the original mod.
Gunt Fuchmann 8 Sep, 2021 @ 8:51pm
Do I need to have the original mod installed, or does this work on its own? It's not listed as a required item so idk
Denneisk  [author] 8 Sep, 2021 @ 12:35pm
@ALE199-ITA It does precisely that.
ALE199 8 Sep, 2021 @ 12:00pm
so does this fix the not being able to eat/do anything?
