It's time to summon our savior. @Mlie
One thing I noticed: the "DPS Ranged" column appears to show damage per shot, and not actual DPS (Damage Per Second). This could pretty easily be updated with the actual DPS formula, as explained here in the wiki:
https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Damage_per_Second
This would make Gun Tab even more useful!
There’re several mods that allow you to search what you currently have, not only weapons—check out InventoryTab (or the continued version by Mlie, I haven’t played with any of them on 1.3, but apparently, Mlie’s version offers more features and is generally more stable, so see the mod’s description), List Everything or RimSearch.
There is another mod for this. It is from another author and only shows the weapons on the map.
Is there a way to filter only weapons I currently have? Would be faster for those times when I want to compare only what I currently own.
I don't promise to do support for calibers, but saving the settings is a good idea.
It's a good idea, I'll figure out how to do it.
The mod you are showing only displays weapons on the map.
Note that filters work from left to right. If you want to sort only by 1 parameter, then turn off other filters.
Definitely a nice idea regardless... this looks nicer than the dev mode table now that I've tried it and doesn't have a cheaty feeling to it either
can you add the ability see what the weapons are like when made with different materials or of different qualities?
Also the sorting doesn't seem to really work for me
Last would be a simpler filter on just ranged vs melee
The "category" and "level of tech" filters don't really help that much I don't think. Since so many of the items have weird values for those. At one point I really just wanted to be able to see just melee or just ranged and couldn't
In my mod there are filters and the ability to sort by several parameters. Moreover, only defnames, but no labels can be seen in developer mode.
This is an extremely inconvenient tool. As a developer, I didn't know about this feature, what to say about ordinary players.
The problem is that there must be some kind of bridging mod, for example a kernel. I gave up on the Core mod.
I thought about this at the stage of creating the mod, but so far I thought that it is rather difficult to implement, however, I do not exclude the possibility of adding it in the future.
Is there any possibility to add to the tab a field wher additional weapon stats can be presented? Eg.: weapons from Rimsenal like "smart weapons" have reduced aiming time and increased precision by some %s; Rimmu-Nation² axes and machetes have 50-85% increased plant working speed, etc.
Would be great if one can see those stats right away in your tab ;)
Lol, I think I need to figure out a new place to put these buttons, otherwise the bottom panel will end.
Ok, it will be in the next update.
I fixed it. Please update the mod and try again.
Anyway thanks for this mod, looking weapon stats one by one is painfully long
My mod does not affect performance, as it is only active when the corresponding menu is opened. Also, you can see absolutely all weapons. As far as I remember, in the mod that you threw off, you can only evaluate the weapons on the map.
You can sort it by category. That is, a ranged or melee weapon. There is no more precise filter on this score.
WeaponStats lists items that are on the current map only, and this mod is an in-game weapon database.
Heres the link to the other mod if you want to compare:
