locate the mod's files in the documents/my games/civ/manifest destiny, uniques are set in one of the XML files, you can open it with notepad or any other text editor. replace UNIT_AMERICAN_B17 with UNIT_AMERICAN_MINUTEMAN
if you want to bring B17 back, simply rename or delete Saloon.xml in the mod's folder ("My Documents\Games\Civ\Mods\Manifest...\")
I think the improvement to USA should be:
1) Add +1 to river/lake tiles (reflects the wealth of the colonies, and encourages to settle on rivers and lakes)
AND
2) 25% faster expansion through culture (perfect for manifest destiny, I'm actually surprised the devs didn't add this in the first place)
OR
3) Finally, cheaper hammer/gold requirements for settlers (historically accurate, as the American colonies expanded west rather quickly)
That, imo, would be the perfect Manifest Destiny buff as they synergyze perfectly for fast expansion through settlers. The strategy would be to expand onto river tiles, make money, and use that to make new settlers
I'd do it myself, but I'm not very good with .xml and I don't have time to learn it right now.
Peter, please, could you make a simple mod like this?
Isnt interested enough in making a vanilla version, sorry.
Alaska was quite profitable for Russia, it only was sold because in case of a possible war with Britain it could not be defended as the Russian fleet could't compete with the Britain's.
