I will look into your suggestions.
ATM I'm a little busy with writing plugins for my servers (serverchanger, ranking and difficulty changer. and maybe a new gamemode with only melee but pssst ;D) and with working on a bigger and more realistic map ;)
there are thousand tutorials for mapping with source sdk, just google the basics and you will find everything you need ;). Here is an additional link for you with helpful stuff about making maps for contagion: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/238430/discussions/11/540742399422813135/

I considered some of your suggestions in my update, which will be released today.
Hello, thank you for the near-immediate reply. I look forward to playing (and endorsing) future iderations of this map. I thoroughly enjoy the concept.
Have you considered a version sans massive pile of weapons/ammo, and maybe putting a different cache of weapons/ammo scattered around the map (or just weapons and some ammo, not giant piles)?
Are you considering making the walls zombie climable? I don't think that'd be a very good solution. Maybe after reaching the center, zombies start spawning from where the players start, so zombies are coming from in front and behind? When the door finally opens, a massive horde (like the end of RoanokePD) attacks?
I trust you'll do well with whatever design decisions you make.
Thank you for your detailed comment. I really appreciate all feedback of the players
experiences on my map.
The zombie spawn location is the whole maze so they should spawn all over the place.
I think the problem is that zombies can only walk through the maze like the survivors.
Thats something I was thinking about for a while and will do something about it in the upcoming update.
The generator will break between 1 and 2 minutes. This timer and the zombie wave timer were increased with the last update, because of the darker lighting conditions, but I will change it back to the old timers.
After reading your comment I think my last update messed it up.
I guess that there will be some major changes in the upcoming update.
Hope you will give it a try =)
At first.
The spawn locations are poor; when back-tracking (returning from reactivating a generator), one can simply follow the trail of zombies back to the center of the map. You should have zombies spawn near generators and in dead-ends so it's harder for the player to navigate.
Reduce the amount of "Waiting" time between reactivating each transformer. 4 COOP players on the hardest difficulty are invincible and bored while sitting on the platform at the center, wondering which convenient power failure they'll have to fix next. The down time isn't very exciting, and just lets the humans resupply, turning the map center into a meat-grinder.
It was fun, but irritating after I realized all the green lights on the map were 5 minutes of waiting, then running to reactivate and running back to the map center.
-added a Plugin to my server that changes the difficulty, so the map wont be too easy for more survivors ;D
Doesn't matter because I HAZ WAFFLEZ
