In fact the true name for this blade is खुकुरी.
The thing to remember when translating words from a language with a different alphabet is that there's usually no 'correct' way. It's just an approximation of the sounds using the target language's tools - for this reason you'll notice Indian dishes spelled every which way possible in different curry houses.
I hope your enjoyment of this mod is undiminishd by my choice of spelling.
