I just tried it and it seemed to work for me. Are you sure you have the mod activated (Main menu -> Steam icon -> Enable the right mod)? You could try putting it at the top priority of your mods, if that fails I have no idea what's going wrong. The mod works for me even when running Tale Of The Dragon.
lbertolotti 25 Feb, 2016 @ 8:30am
I can't use this mod, it doesn't work on my game.
ZaubererMD 10 Aug, 2015 @ 8:25am
Best background ever! Managed to spawn a dragon somehow and totally kicked the greeks a**! See it in action here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=497464731

Love it, 1920x1080 and the entire screen goes black when transitioning, so I can't do anything.
JC Denton 16 Jan, 2015 @ 1:43pm
Had a funny moment, was browsing workshop with this menu loaded and a Nidhogg spawn in and attack the poor pegasus
Broken Land 18 Jul, 2014 @ 4:50am

Hi! I have a background mod of my own too, and I've been asked recently if we can make our mods compatible. I would be happy to, but it's mostly up to you =)

All that it takes is to rename your background's map, let it be ~aom_pgs_norsenight.scx. Then you have to add "startup" folder in your mod, create text file "user.cfg" inside and write one single string in it:

attractMode-scenario-0 ~aom_pgs_norsenight

Can you do this for your fans? =D

confirm that 1900*1200 does work, at highest level of quality.
jc 25 May, 2014 @ 12:01am
Looks very cool. I love it.
johnhartson 24 May, 2014 @ 4:35am
Look nice
Dondarrion 24 May, 2014 @ 2:54am
Love it, looks beautiful. All good on 1600x900
Stig IV 23 May, 2014 @ 4:14pm
@Lauren thanks for the info man! Will probably keep using yours just because it looks so good. XD Great job mate! Cheers!
John Fish  [author] 23 May, 2014 @ 5:15am
@Stig IV: It isn't very complicated. To set an angle for your scenario use the mouse wheel and CTRL + right arrow to set the angle for your shot, then use triggers to keep the camera in place there. Pretty sure the effect you want is called 'Set camera cut'. Then you rename your scenario ~aom_pgs_greece.scx , and place it in your scenario folder and replace. Lighting can be added to a scenario by clicking the light bulb icon in the editor. A lot of other useful tips and tricks I found here: http://aom.heavengames.com/scendesign/FAQ
To publish, make a new folder in your mods folder in the local files, and make a folder called 'scenario' in that folder. Inside the 'scenario' folder, you paste your scene, still called ~aom_pgs_greece.scx. Then you can publish via the mod manager.

I've noticed that this is now the most popular mod of the week. I'd like to thank all subscribers for helping me leveling up my epeen. I honestly didn't expect this mod to explode the way it did.

@Lord Brimestone: Sure, I guess, but I'd like to know first what you are going to use it for. It propably should be ok if you put a link to this page in your mod description or something.
Prostagma 23 May, 2014 @ 4:03am
Looks pretty good, I like that you utilised the night cycle for the background.
FUSHIGI BONG RIPS 1998 22 May, 2014 @ 5:29pm
I like how, after a few minutes, a nidhogg spawns and starts killing the greeks. Nice little mod.
Stig IV 22 May, 2014 @ 10:24am
Awesome mod! :D Are you willing to divulge your sercrets of making your own background?
JayC_Reaper 21 May, 2014 @ 2:37pm
Looks fine on 2560x1440
Lord Brimestone 21 May, 2014 @ 12:08pm
Can I include this with one of my mods?
[Valhalla] Alkhalim 20 May, 2014 @ 12:23pm
Welll, done, appreciate the effort ;)
Æ | Darc Reaver 20 May, 2014 @ 12:10pm
Gotta agree with the people. I really like this one, it looks very, very cool. Such atmosphere :) Good job!
Valannor 19 May, 2014 @ 1:38pm
Yeah it's cool, kinda makes the background more interactive, but it won't hurt if you could make another version for the people that don't dig it. :)
John Fish  [author] 19 May, 2014 @ 9:26am
@coins you can always do that with background menus. You can play around with the colossus in the original AOM:EE background, or in the Titans background you can walk the army around. I think it's pretty funny.

I could fix it, by making the player someone else than the norse player, but I'm not going to because I think it's pretty funny and it doesn't really hurt anything.
Coins 19 May, 2014 @ 9:01am
This looks very nice! But somehow, you can command some of the units on the norse side if you select them from the edge of the screen.
Valannor 18 May, 2014 @ 6:41pm
I'd say Odin and Zeus.
T.K. 18 May, 2014 @ 9:20am
lauren: I don't think you should, it is good enough as it is. But, if you want to give it a try, try Zeus!
Silver Lining 18 May, 2014 @ 7:24am
Awesome mod, great use of the new lighting. Will be looking forward to see if you make anymore of them :)
John Fish  [author] 18 May, 2014 @ 4:25am
I'm glad you all like it!
ThiagoFragaK: I personally think Odin fits best for the norse here, and I can give Odin ravens at his temple. I had thought about changing Hades to one of the other gods, so what do you think? Should I change Him out, and if yes, for what other god?
Slutty 18 May, 2014 @ 2:00am
Thanks :ss13ok:
T.K. 17 May, 2014 @ 2:11pm
Congrats, man. It was beautiful! I'd just change the Main Gods in both cities.
Makanaky 17 May, 2014 @ 12:42pm
thx :B1:
Sara 17 May, 2014 @ 11:38am
Thanks! I like it. Also to valannor, that problem (which I don't see as a problem because it doesn't hurt anything) is exactly the same in the main menu built into the game, it's a result of screens just being bigger than they were ten years ago pretty much.
Valannor 17 May, 2014 @ 5:29am
Looks great. One thing I noticed, when you hover over some of the buildings, their health bar shows above them. Might wanna fix that. Thanks!
I'm The Pope 15 May, 2014 @ 7:50am
1920x1080 run very good:)
