Would be insane if you update this to B42 now that the books are not still consumed

I was wondering if it would be possible for the books to not be consumed after reading instead getting a debuff and/or a time limit till the player can read said book again. Perhaps if the player has read the book too recently it increases boredom? Understand if this is not possible or too difficult

im updating my own mod and im looking for someone/somemod that teaches me how to make simple ingame GUI, i want to make picture-instruction books for my mod, like instructions to craft a virus cure for example, i want like recipe-> read -> then a GUI open with a .png

Sorry but I am a bit confused. Are these actual readable books that one as a player can read page by page like reading a book irl and if so how can you read them this way? Or do these books work in the same way as those red books and they are just used to decrease your character's boredom level and that's it?

I really want this mod to remove the generic red vanilla books. They are kinda immersion breaking.

I'd super appreciate for the update of this mod to be able to use "place item" on the new books like other objects.

I was looking and found it, but they are still consumed. I'll add the pages to the book, but will have to find out about the consumption.

This is really nice!
Although this mod makes me long for a mod made back in 2017 that made it so books have x number of pages and can be read gradually over time and aren't consumed. That mod sadly was never updated and would work really nicely here!
