The glowing eyes layer that gets added upon reaching Phase 2
(which is pretty much just the same exact eyes of Duke fishron, but its just fully white with some shading from looking at the original sprite)
Okay then what file does the "DukeFishron" sprite replace in the game?
Well that's how it worked for me pretty much, and I can surely confirm too that almost everything from there (including the mentioned "DukeFishron" sprite) corresponds to the correct things in the game.
So I can also confirm that phase 2 uses a what I call a "glow layer" named DukeFishron that is just the eyes of Duke which would be placed on top of the main Duke Fishron sprite, and notably its color white (like I mentioned before) since it then changes its color to the one in game.
Hope this helps again.
Spriters Resource is only a database of datamined game sprites, not actual sprites that are used in games. Terraria uses sprites from [root]/Content/Images, specifically Duke Fishron's sprite is NPC_370.xnb and is the only sprite of the NPC. Another thing, as you have seen in the game, the second phase of the boss is also changed into gura because it uses the same sprite as the first phase, so I already edited everything there is about the sprites that are related to fighting the boss.
Well I get my Terraria sprites from the Spriters Resource, Terraria. You should be able to get every sprite of Duke Fishron from there. (I got that image from the Everything (1.4.0.1) zip)
But either way like I said, from what I know the glowing eyes of Duke Fishron uses a sprite that has the same amount of frames and also the same exact dimensions as the original base Duke Fishron sprite, and like I said it's named DukeFishron. So that way you can just draw over the eyes with a new layer or something and just render the drawn eyes (I reccomend you must use white), byea this one is just an idea lol.
Where is this image named "DukeFishron" located at?
There is a way to edit the sprite of the second phase, i'm speaking from experience.
It uses an image named "DukeFishron" and has the same exact dimensions and frames as the Main Duke fishron sprite. Hope this will be good info for you!
I believe there is no way to edit the sprite of the 2nd phase separately as the game just use the same sprites while adding effects on it
If also possible you could also add some sound effects and probably other Gura references probably (that I may not get anyway lol). So yeah this is just my opinion and feedback for your pack!
