Hey, there's a pretty serious bug in the code that causes huge amounts of lag. The callback for CursedOrb.CursedQuality happens for every pickup on every frame, but the function itself then loops over every entity in the room. This means the function loops over every entity for every pickup in the room. A room with 100 coins will cause 10,000 loops every frame. I've attached a replacement function (with its associated callback) which I believe does the same thing without this lag. If you don't change the callback, the function will attempt to treat all pickups as collectibles, and the game will crash. I've written a replacement function, but I can't send it thru steam comments. I'll try to friend you on steam (and then delete this comment xd)

@oakman There is, in fact, a special interaction with sacred orb. Sacred orb prevents cursed orb from rerolling items.

There isn't as far as I can tell. Mod seems to no longer be supported.

I think while you have cursed or any items rerolled shouldn't be able to reroll into an item of higher quality. For example if an item is quality 3 it should not be able to reroll into a different item of quality 4 but a quality 4 item into another quality 4 is fine if RNG is on your side.

I don't think it should be able to affect any story items, since none of them are qual 3+ anyways (except broken shovel but nyehh) but you should disable it anyway

I saw a video where this mod caused "story" items like dads note to be affected. Has this been fixed?

What will happen to the items if I get both Sacred Orb and Cursed Orb? Do they all get rerolled or removed? I'm confused...

Zical: If a Q3/4 item gets rerolled, it has the potential to turn into another Q3/4 item.

It would be nice to have this item in the EID, even though it's just the one item and you have the description here.

@Zical The way it works is that it rerolls any quality 3 items that appear, but there's still the chance for them to reroll into another quality 3 item, which would remain. So it doesn't completely remove high quality items, just makes them much more rare.

I love the idea for the mod!! But it causes a crazy amount of lag when there's a lot of pickups on the ground in a single room.

so echo chamber still can spawn with Cursed Orb :D

Funny thing is this item is insanely good for Tainted Eden, Tainted Apolyion and regular Apolyion.
As they dont really care about quality of items but quantity, esp T.Eden

Not only that this is the opposite version of the Sacred Orb,but also a different version of Damocles,since quality 3+ items get rerolled instead of having a chance to be insta-killed.
