I've been a fan of FNF for a long time, boyfriend has been one of my favorite characters in fiction for a while and I gotta say: I love this character. He has a pretty fun moveset with some charming visuals and gimmicks that makes for some of the best stage control plays out there, but MAN he desperately a buff or a slight rework. His damage output (without GF) and hitboxes are pretty underwhelming and laggy to an extent and even with the sweetspot gimmick, he lacks combo potential. As a result, he kinda struggles to catch up in alot of matchups.

I really want him to be one of my mains for workshop sessions with my friends but these downsides really have him outmatched in alot of scenarios and I'm praying there's enough support for him to get this treatment.

There's an exploit where you can keep Girlfriend alive after exploding just by timing a taunt. It's pretty busted, but he still sucks since the rest of his kit is very lack-luster in both range and kill power. Cool concept, but with balance changes and exploit/bug fixes, he could be good.

tbh, you should REALLY upgrade the A.I., the A.I. get's confused by the center not being a platform too easily, and moving platforms confuse it too, if you could do this, it'd be really appreciated!

Boyfriend seems to be very fun in concept, but a lot of his moves feel stilted and cumbersome. I'm not the most experienced with the game, but he seems to really struggle with how short-ranged and slow all of his attacks feel. especially against rushdown type characters

Hello! Wanted to point out a little bug I've found. As Girlfriend is exploding, if you Taunt she'll react, but that also prevents her from leaving the stage, allowing you to basically insta-place her. Besides that, I love this mod, fantastic job!

This character is extremely fun, but these hitboxes are so SO small, a little hard to get the hang of, especially with the tilts

Hey this is really cool and Boyfriend feels great but there's just one thing im mixed on and it's his Alts with his Up Smash like an example his if you use the Minus Alt and do a Up Smash Pico just looks off and same goes with the Neo alt. but that's just a nitpick and i can edit those in the files. But aside from that this is a fun character to play

when i go past the matt skin, the game crashes

LOVE love this character, but his fair and bair feel off. BF moves backwards while the attacks come out, which gives them really bad range.

also, some other thoughts is had are that while charging uspecial, if you press up, left or down and then let go of all directions, it should really remember that direction instead of defaulting back to up.

Currently Rivals of Aether is going through desyncing issues online, whether desnycing, floating characters, unable to wall jump, and so on. Boyfriend is not the root cause of this, and by the time you reload Rivals,cthe problem may even be fixed

Not sure if this is just a me issue here. But I have been having issues with Boyfriend causing desyncs when playing online.

i agree with skyanultra but i think the down special should be a singing mode and it does this


arrows appear on top of you (like senpais dspecial) however notes will also appear on the person closest to you you will then teleport to GF and the person who is BF will be on the left and whatever direction they want to move in will instead send arrows at the person on the right side miss notes = take dmg
hit notes = deal dmg to BF any other players will continue fighting
the ones singing can not take dmg and no one else can dmg them and they cant deal dmg to anyone around them (them= talking about the ones singing they= same thing as them)
