How is her name pronounced? Is it FUR-nit or fur-NET? Or maybe Fear-NAY lol
Quite frankly, it's why I took a liking to her in the first place. She is, in a word, precious. A small, large handed/footed, fluffed up little thing walloping people is one of my favorite things. Her alts are pretty good as well. She has a design that works with a lot of colors, which is, in my book, a victory for her designers, despite possibly bringing about that stage in designing her where you're just sitting there for hours trying to decide on something as mundane as the color of their socks. Her animations are all fantastic. They make it clear that she's energetic and determined. Her kicking her sandals off is probably my favorite Rivals intro I've seen; and her taunt is absolutely perfect. She reminds me a lot of Sakura from Street Fighter, both being energetic amateurs inspired by an experienced martial artist.
Fernet is, as the description states, a rushdown character with some unique zoning abilities that thrives on a balance between stage control and applying pressure on the opponent. She works best when swapping between offensive and defensive maneuvers, forcing the opponent to guess whether she's going to rush in for a combo; or stay back and throw out projectiles. Her speed and ability to call her projectile back allow her to meld offense and zoning together in a way I adore. She can be predictable due to her shoto-like arsenal; but her abilities allow her to make unexpected plays and catch the enemy off guard and change up her approach in an instant. Her strongs are laggy and difficult to land; but are reliable kill tools if you know how to rack up the opponent's percent.
The catdooken could also use a pre nerf range increase too, it's not exactly close to op even if it went full screen or at lightspeed considering the cooldown and dmg.

I really didn't thought about that until now, it was a kinda recent change we did so it slipped through my mind, ill put the patch notes in the patch notes section from here on out

There was an experimental change of the ball being destroyed no matter the level on a single hit but that seemed excessive for testers, so we'll buff that a bit, the plan is that a hit takes two levels off the sphere
It seems that before the number of enemy hits depended on the level of the sphere.
tbh i kinda rushed this last patch for FTL, again, is a WIP build just so she can remain legal, but a real finished patch is gonna be posted tomorrow or the 20th, it will have 2 separate cooldowns for fireball and shine

For how she's too strong, her f-strong seems way too strong for a character of her weight and speed. Her general movement is also really fast for a character who also has such a strong stage control tool in her sphere.
For how she could be fleshed out more, her Side-B and Up-B feel a tad too simple and like there's missed potential. Side-B doesn't have much reason for her to stop and grab the sphere before throwing it, it's very easy to see coming and parry. It would be cool if you could input up or down during the grab to angle the throw so it's less predictable and you have more options.
There are big changes on the way, just in time for Genesis 8
We heard there were multiple issues with Up Special and Forward Special, we worked hard to make them as balanced as possible, our goal is to make any fight involving her fun for everyone

Fernet is getting a 2.0 patch!
The big one here is that The Sphere is no longer neutral special, it has been moved to down special
what's neutral special now? a Shine
I'm 100% sure this change is gonna make the character 10 times more enjoyable, but be prepared because the input change might require some re-accustoming
The other big one The stage is done! we will make Fernet's stage "Wip-san Dojo" and it's musical score available at the same time as the 2.0 update

This is a great milestone for me, even though others have a lot more subs, not many have achieved this number, this is the first character I ever make, and have it succeed makes me very proud!
