Configurable options would be really nice to have though. Id really like to be able to tweak the fuel efficiency for example.

Some mod must be conflicting. I summon the butler bot and it doesn't move... Any idea which one it may be?

@Paladino Ateísta if you're the one whose hosting the server, then you can go into the workshop files and mess around with the lua files yourself in notepad++ or whatever you use. the modmain.lua is usually where you'd find things to tinker with, but every mod is different.

I suggest learning this, as it's something that can be quite valuable in your experiences with mods, since I tweak some mods to my liking when it feels necessary.

This mod is PERFECT the only thing that is bothering me is that, i cannot configure things, for example i am playing a hard mod with my friends and i really like this character but he is weak for that challenge i really wish i can change things my own, because the he will be able to help my friends in that world, can you do that in the future?

my butler bot doesn't do anything after summoning him? He just stands there

This char has a dope aesthetic and pretty balanced skills. Look, in a game which wanda, wolf and reworked wigfrid exists, u cant hold back cuz if u do he wont be picked. Hes fun the way he is to say the least. Well done. Really should be oficial.

This is always the problem with balancing minion-based characters; trying to make a minion alright on its own can lead to horrible issues when the player starts getting more of them. Particularly in Don't Starve where there's such a massive difference between the average mob and then stronger mobs. I actually wonder how he compares to post-rework Webber now.

To be fair, overshadowing Maxwell (as much as it pains me to say as a Maxwell main) is already such an easy thing to do in his current state. Woodie overshadows his gathering ability and every other minion-based character overshadows his awful duellists. Similar things can be said for Winona who's only use is to mass-build catapults and then be shoved in the closet. While I tried to 'minimalize' the amount of overshadowing William did on them, I didn't want to balance him on the bottom line.

His robots don't attack shadows, though, and if they do that's probably a leftover thing which I'd have to remove since they're not supposed to.

Though I still see no thematic sense in having him lose sanity from placing hats down, a possible solution I can think of is having them be temporary? Either a lifespan or amount of shots that can't just be refreshed. Would probably have to take away the upgrading for them or change how it works at the least, if I went down that avenue

I think my point is that the character is eliminating the purpose of too many other characters. Maxwell, Wendy, Willow, Winona... all of these characters are good at their one thing but this character is good at all the things. Can gather, chop, and mine fast with butlers. Can mob farm with tank robot and turrets, can destroy bosses with enough resources, and doesn't have steep enough downsides aside from sanity that is easy to maintain through foods and gear. He even gains more sanity the higher his sanity is. His cons are very little.

Does each deployed turret consume sanity? Anything like this? Do his robots attack nightmare creatures? If so maybe they shouldn't, like Abigail. If the risk of going insane is higher and his robots won't help him there then maybe you won't see someone placing 8 turrets and having all 3 bots helping all the time.

Sure his mob farming is slower but he can do it remotely with the hat turrets.
Nitre can be farmed from petrified evergreens, meteor showers renewing boulders, & earthquakes in caves. The earthquakes are a common occurrence so I can easily get 1-3 gold and 3-6 nitre from these every 1-2 days in the caves on average. If you're able to reset the ruins often you can also force earthquakes with the telelocator/blowing up slurtle mounds. It makes sense why he asked where the gold was about two minutes after joining and the 99 stack of gold I had in the chest was reduced to 33 in minutes. Maybe that is why he had enough power to humiliate Bee Queen? The resources aren't finite even by vanilla standards so I guess he can stockpile stuff and then go melt bosses. If the server has mods to ensure multiplayer resources aren't 'one person takes all', he's able to amass these things very quickly & easily.

It's fun for whoever is playing him but really dwarfs other characters in comparison.

@Silkie Silkie I appreciate the feedback! I agree that the bouncer bot in particular is still pretty nutty. Even if numerically his damage is fairly low and his health isn't insane, in practice he's practically unkillable and I definitely still need to give him some work.

As for the turrets, the drawback to them was supposed to be that you're limited by how costly they are to keep fuelled. I suppose if your friend has somehow found a way to farm nitre very easily, then he could sustain them but otherwise he may end up with a lot of issues later on after the burst of power. How I could limit their potential, I don't know, because stat-wise they're weaker than Winona's catapults in every way besides being portable.

I do have to disagree with his frog farming, though. Wendy has him beat on that one.

My friend wanted to try this character on our server. He proceeds to solo Bee Queen in under 20 seconds.
He remote farms frogs while in base nowhere near the frogs.
He is basically the best of Winona, Willow, and Maxwell with zero downsides when he can spam turret hats to liquefy enemies, summon a beefy tank that deal great damage, or utilize multiple bots to do busywork for him.

I didn't enjoy playing alongside this character at all. You might as well not be there. Now, for easy solo play... sure. Yeah. This character will do the best of 4-5+ other vanilla characters combined. But if you want to play it with friends you better let them install the kawaii catgirl that has a 6k dmg screen-wide attack if they want to because you're right up there with them in OP levels.

It seems that sometimes, hovering over william's portrait in the character select occasionally crashes the game. The error says something about not being able to load his starting inventory. Sometimes it crashes other times it doesn't.

can you make a configuration menù?

I could make an exception so they behave more like players when they're frozen when I have the free time. Just because I can't recreate and issue doesn't mean it can't happen, after all.

i don't use mods, but it's not a problem if you can't repair the bug.

I still can't rectreate this issue. Do you have any other mods that may change how freezing or blue hounds work? If you have any that make blue hounds freeze on bite that would definitely cause it

Not only vs deerclops, also Klaus and blue hounds.

@Lorix_Clips I couldn't recreate this issue. If this is happening when fighting Deerclops that's just something Deerclops does when hitting NPCs
