What I'm considering is maybe moving the blue version of avali to the blue snow set and adding the green version back over the pink snow set.

oh ok thats understandable, I still like the default avali and you cant really achieve with dyes, could we have a separate resource pack just for the old avali texture perhaps?

I do have more sets in production that will go over some pre-HM sets, but if you want them replaced now you can find the pack at Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\105600\2608718393 and you can just change the armor ids to what you want replaced. As for what the armor ids are, there is a page on the wiki named IDs that tells you what they are. Just be warned that ids are not shared across sets so you have to find each item's value individually.

Okay on second thought, I really want the changed armor sets to be different, like, say, replace the pre-HM wood sets with the new sprites so that they're easily accessible in like 5-10 minutes
I get it, the replaced armor sets are supposed to be in character for the species, but having to roll high on 3 unique 1:30 rolls from a biome-specific night-time enemy AND beat Skeletron is a bit of a tall order in my eyes, especially for a pure cosmetic

Step 1) subscribe to the mod.
2) In the title screen, navigate to workshop/use resource pack
3) move the pack to the list on the right. If there are any file conflicts with other resource packs, the one higher up in the list will take priority.

I managed to figure out that changing item names requires making a localization file. In said localization file, you need to specify the string id of the item and the new name you want for that item. It would be nice if I had a resource that specifies the string id for every item instead of needing to guess every time.

@Ronnie1001 I somehow never thought about that, but I really should do that. The item names I don't know how to change, but the inventory icons should be easy.

Can this be made so the item sprites reflect what the armor looks like on the player?

@minecraftpro64 Sorry but I personally find the hyper boob fetish a little too disturbing to be able to handle that myself. However, I would be fine with someone else making waifu player compatibility as long as they ask me before uploading.
