Report a translation problem
I made a little change in the script regarding the materials for the roof stage and now it has a non-0 workdays for completion.
Not sure why this problem happened here though, I think it was always possible to define all construction materials manually before.
Now that's not something I've encountered before. But it does happen as you described it.
I'll look to see if I can fix it.
for i shaped building
for the stage of laying bricks needed: 278 work days 23t bricks 7.9t wood 3t steel
to end construction: 278 work days 26t bricks 16t wood 6t steel
so there is materials for 3rd stage but there is no work days for 3rd stage
because of that building is finished early without 3rd stage
and this is the same for all 3 buildings
Can you help me a bit with the specifics?
I'll test it right away, odds are I know what's causing it as I encountered it in the past, but thought I have made sure it wasn't gonna be an issue this time.
construction ends on a stage of laying bricks
I think it makes sense for older era houses to have the self-heating ability which later gets dropped as the heating network is created.
I also provide the heating option only old or provincial buildings. Anything of the modernist era comes without self-heating, as when such districts were being built, the centralized heating distribution was part of the plan from the start.
FYI, regarding self-heating, even it doesn't cost resources, it causes pollution, so this is supposed to be how you "pay" for it :P
Also, self-heating stops once you've added a heating infrastructure close-by. I think that this is done to "motivate" players to switch to district heating instead of self-heating, and imo it's a good idea by the devs.
The empty quadrant is always a pity that it goes to waste, however, with part of the building being made to be collisionless, you can always place some infrastructure there *before* placing the house (that's the annoying part, but nothing unsurmountable for a veteran planner :P) and this way the space isn't wasted. It can have footpaths, and any park or kids' playground element you can find in the mods. The only real bummer is that trees planted there are still removed and I was told the only way to force them to grow there is if you enable map editor mode or something like that (never tried it).
Thank you!

It's a valid point that a straight version of this would make it possible to build Stalin-era districts more faithfully, as they were usually mainly comprised of the L and I shaped constructions.
I'll give it a try to make a straight variant of this using the same exact elements. It might not have no real life counterpart, but hopefully it will fill that void.
If I find a compatible straight building to model in the future, I might add it here.
