This mod is now updated for the new update. Please let me know if you have any issues! I don't have the new dlc yet, so any innovations or troops they added won't yet be in this mod. Otherwise, it should work fine now.

@Sculptor I'll try to take a look soon, but this mod just uses a function that spawns an army, which is in the base code and from what I understand is used to various events and such. I would be surprised if that part of the mod broke since so many other parts of the base game would break. I haven't played the game in a little while so I'm not sure of any major changes. I''ll try to test it soon so I can see whats going on. I wiped my computer recently so I need to transfer the mod files back to update, so an update to this mod won't be right away. Since I see people are using it though I will try to do that sooner than later!

This might be a consequence of not being updated for almost a year, but when I disband a paid army, the soldiers remain in the 'rally forces' numbers from that point on. Was that the intention? An indefinite veteran reserves roster? Or is it a glitch? Seems to function as of scythe 4/24 otherwise.

@TeleportBehindYou I suppose you could if you really wanted. If you really had that much money it would be possible, but you still have to wait 5 years between each innovation. I could make the price higher and the wait time longer for this pro version if its feeling too cheaty. But otherwise if you don't want to progress so fast avoid using the feature. In the future I might turn it into an event the player has to go through, since that might make it more interesting.

So if you have lots of money, you can just get all innovations 100 years before the next era? Can you add an option to disable that?

@Ego_Crazy Unfortunately the spawn_army command that I use doesn't allow for the army to replenish. It wouldn't be possible unless the devs change that function in the future. It is a separate thing from the main army so it operates a little differently. I think there are modifiers to increase the levy amount for the main army or decrease the maintenance cost. So there could be some workaround. Or even if the decision gave another prompt after a few month to see if you want to raise more troops again.

@Stehr would it be possible to allow the troops you paid money for to be replenished, it gets to a point where I need to keep buying more after enough of them die. Maybe adding a monthly cost for just having them should balance it out

@Stehr It works to spawn everything except the culture specific units which now makes sense I didn't realize before. EK2 is an Elder Scrolls mod for this game and it is amazing recommend trying it!

@Costolisk I'm not familiar with that mod, this mod might work to spawn levies but likely not the men at arms if they use different troop types. Is this mod completely broken with EK2?

@Ego_Crazy Thank you ! I just had a baby so its been chaotic recently and I haven't played CK3 in a while. I was working on a separate census mod but never got to uploading it. It conflicts with that feature in this mod so I think I was working on removing it or something from here, but I need to take at look at the files to see what I have already finished. Does this mod need an update? I know they have release a new patch/expansion but I haven't tried it yet so I'm not sure if everything still works ok

Just a word of caution, there were some changes in the innovations in the new update, so be cautious when adding some innovations, especially if they are not matching in the innovation tab. For example, trying to add Hirds will crash the game. They changed these innovations in the new update so I need to add the new ones and fix the problematic ones. I'm not yet sure if they completely removed some as well. But I will update it soon with the fixes.

@Ego_Crazy I was able to finish the update today. I increased the innovation cool down and all the innovations should be added. Also added the ability to draft from own counties or vassals counties. Hopefully everything runs ok!

@Stehr the prices are fair but I feel as if a 1 year wait is too short for the innovation maybe waiting 5 years to use it again; Or if possible but not exactly necessary allowing the AI to use it as well I find myself steam rolling other cultures. But everything is fine so far

@Ego_Crazy Yes there is! I'm sorry I've been a bit busy so haven't been working on the mod as much recently. I'm working on adding the option to draft just your own counties or your vassals so the code is a bit of a mess, but I've already added those innovations so it will be available in the next update. Thank you so much for testing it, I was worried no one would want to test an unfinished mod so I am very thankful for all of your feedback. Do you think the prices of innovations are fair/balanced?

@Ego_Crazy Absolutely! I started with the military ones so I could make sure the proper paid army troops were showing up, but adding any innovation is pretty simple so I can update with those soon. Glad the armies are looking ok!

adding as many penalties as possible for mass drafting is good imo since it's crazy strong. Lowering vassal opinion is nice as i think it would affect big realms especially and it's big realms that would snowball the fastest because their base levies are the highest.

@crochetcocoking The census decision will soon be a standalone mod and maybe the innovation decision if I get around to adding more flavor to it. Making my mods as compatible as possible is a priority. If I ever want to add a feature that touches base game files I will make that as a separate mod and write what files I changed.

I am also thinking about making the draft decision having the option of getting just from your own counties and drafting from vassals counties will make them have a negative opinion of you or something like that. Maybe that would be a way of getting the big armies down if the armies are too massive the way it is now.

@crochetcocoking My original mod will soon be the same as this version just without AI and optional modifiers. Then I will make a "cheat" version. These mods don't alter any game files so it should technically be compatible with everything.

The draft takes every sub realm county then adds the building levies and garrison from each of them, the total is the amount of levies that spawn. If those numbers in a total conversion are smaller then it should make the draft smaller as well.

I can test Tales of Ireland to see how it goes with this mod. The biggest issue with compatibility should be if a mod has different men at arms, technologies, or cultures. My mod checks for those when getting the innovation decisions and which troops show up for paid troops. I assume the user won't get anything to show up if a total conversion changes that. But I would definitely be willing to have compatibility patches if there are issues with my mod.

would you consider making a version without the army decision among other stuff so it can play with total conversion mods like Tales of Ireland and such? (Alternatively, adapt the numbers s it fits the way smaller numbers of Tales of Ireland in particular).
Also would it be possible to get a ""barebone"" version to keep maximum compatibility in the future if/when you try to add more features? I really like the mod, it would be a shame to be cucked by compatibility.

@Ego_Crazy @Credulis I've updated the mod with your suggestions. I realized I was getting the levy number from the entire realm instead of the sub realm. So hopefully those issues will be fixed. Also increased the price of troops and increased the price the AI needs to have to trigger it. The levy debuff has also been added to the modifiers. Please let me know if there's any more issues or anything you think should be changed!

Yeah, I feel like the draft/pay for an army should be limited to independent rulers. Or maybe non-independent rulers should should be limited to utilising up to a quarter of their realm pop. It creates some unrealistic numbers of levies, but I love the mod otherwise. Super cool!

I just checked it's mostly smaller counts who have bigger armies making it easier for them to beat their kings senseless not sure if they're just buying the armies or just using the levy choice

@Ego_Crazy Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm sorry about the lagging. Is it an issue with just the paid army or the levy army as well? I suspect I may have made the AI check the decision too often and if they have enough gold the armies are stacking. I just noticed I don't have a levy debuff on the negative draft modifiers, so I think its also a good idea to add that.
