Hi!
I really love your mod, since I always thought that the vanilla mechanics regarding addictions are way too harsh.
However, are you planning on updating the mod to 1.5 if you have the time?
´
Thanks for your work and have a great day! :-)

@Key WiteWolf Thanks for the explanation!

@hottt3: I think I see the misunderstanding here.
You will not find "joykind" in a drug policy or stockpile. "Joykind" is a term the game itself uses to define the type of joy an item gives when a pawn uses it. (This is why a TV gives different joy than say, a chess table.) In the base game, all drugs are counted as the same joykind, meaning that they can't stack, and your colonists get bored of them very quickly. With this mod, all the drugs it lists are separated, meaning using more than one type will allow the joy to stack, and your colonists get a lot more mood and recreation out of these things. I hope that helps.

If you don't know what it changed, then you aren't paying attention? I'm confused what isn't clear.
hottt3 20 Jan, 2023 @ 9:03pm
I installed this mod and can't find out what has changed. Looked in drug policies, in stockpile settings and didn't notice something like "joykind" etc. I must be blind. Could you please be more clear and concise in the description, and explain what changes I am to see in the game after installing the mod. Thanks:)

Thank you! I realized after I posted the comment you might have done something like that. Unsubscribed and re-subbed, and the warning is gone. Thanks!

See change notes. I accidentally removed 1.3 support, and rapidly re-added it, so Steam may be slow to catch the update.
thailyn 22 Oct, 2022 @ 11:37am
Hi, did you intend to remove explicit support for versions earlier than 1.4 in the About.xml file? The mod just updated for me today and RimPy says I have a game and version mismatch (as I am staying on 1.3 for the moment). This mod page, at least, still says it supports 1.3. Thanks!
Evono 21 Oct, 2022 @ 11:55am
Really great thanks for the answer !
Kayedon  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 10:13am
Yep. Three of the individual modules have been tested and updated, however I was waiting on Vanilla Brewing Expanded to bring Tobacco up to snuff. Will be updated soon! Should work fine otherwise.
Evono 21 Oct, 2022 @ 10:05am
1.4 planned?
Kayedon  [author] 26 Apr, 2022 @ 5:40pm
@Karmapowered: Wine is already included! I didn't list specific compatibility with mods that add alcohol.
Karmapowered 26 Apr, 2022 @ 8:46am
May I ask if compatibility with wine of the Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval mod is possible in the future ? Thank you for your consideration, and sharing this mod with us.

Kayedon  [author] 21 Nov, 2021 @ 10:44am
* Confirmed compatibility with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2645756957 , no update needed.
Kayedon  [author] 7 Oct, 2021 @ 7:40am
Probably not! Just don't remove it, ja?
shane_357 7 Oct, 2021 @ 6:26am
Will this break a save?

Finally, all my addiction in one place
Kayedon  [author] 4 Oct, 2021 @ 12:01am
So, this might sound a little odd: Cider is ignored by this patch because cider doesn't actually count as alcohol, as it isn't actually a drug, as it has no ChemicalDef.

I can add a manual check for it specifically, when I get around to it.
Trashiest Possum 3 Oct, 2021 @ 11:53pm
Think I found a minor issue, Cider from vanilla brewing expanded is still counted as chemical recreation when it should still be alcohol. Its funny cause kavass from grains and brewing is counted correctly when its pretty much just cider made with grains instead of fruit mechanics wise
Kayedon  [author] 3 Oct, 2021 @ 4:15pm
@Jenbles: This is all 5 mods merged into one, so each has their own joyType.
🏳️‍⚧️ Jenbles 3 Oct, 2021 @ 3:59pm
Is this for each type separately or all of them as one "Lighter drugs" need?
myShadow46n2 3 Oct, 2021 @ 12:24pm
cool thanks for the reply and the mod!
Kayedon  [author] 3 Oct, 2021 @ 8:44am
Teetotalers will hate them, as they're still drugs. Same with Ideos. The only change I was able to find, is that since Chemical Interest/Fascination are tied to Chemical joy, it nerfs that a bit.
cubicPsycho 3 Oct, 2021 @ 8:35am
Do teetotaler pawns hate these drugs still? Also ideologies with precepts against drug use?
Kayedon  [author] 3 Oct, 2021 @ 6:19am
@myShadow46n2: Yep!
myShadow46n2 3 Oct, 2021 @ 6:18am
how does this work with high life for ideology? will the lighter stuff still count for high life?
Inquisition 2 Oct, 2021 @ 9:46pm
Brilliant! Thank you.
