@D34DLY i completlely went over my mod and fixed everything. I made sure no one is born with this trait (except your children) & no one is created with this trait. I also encoded the localisation so that it doesnt show the _ anymore & has all 3 descriptions

Is he the trickster?
Tora 11 Feb, 2022 @ 8:27am
@srctimber Yes it is!

@D34DLY thanks, i made this mod when the game basically first came out & haven't updated it until (well going to soon). The Bonuses you could pick from were small, and my mod worked perfectly fine until they added patches, but thx i will take a look at it!

Sheogorath would be proud.

Look at the mod Demigod Trait

This mod does essentially what i think you are trying to do with this mod. Bonuses are different, but their code works.

I will be updating & fixing some issues with this mod when the Royal Court patch comes out. So if anyone has any recommendations on things to add or remove let me know here, thx!

@D34DLY lol thats funny! Yea idk y NPC's have the trait at all?! I followed a guide on youtube on how to create your own trait. And it involved assigning it to a character. But i dont think i even did that part. So maybe the game looks through the Trait file before a new game and assigns things randomly. If so i can prob change something to make it so no AI's can have it

For fun, I am going to remove all the buffs, except for attraction opinion, and then add "life_expectancy = -35". I won't take the trait, and I will watch the cheese plague spread to the NPCs.

if it was a physical trait instead of a personality trait, the "birth = 0" and "random_creation = 0" would prevent the NPCs from having this trait.
D34DLY 3 Jan, 2022 @ 2:29pm
I think it is because this is a personality trait (personality=yes), with it more or less available based on the NPC's other personality traits.

It would be interesting if a sprinkling of NPS had this trait, but 8% of NPCs having this trait will spiral out of control into complete madness, especially after a few generations.

Although, maybe that is working as intended?

I made a new game, where this is the only mod. upon starting with a random pre-made character in 867 (my character didn't have trait_cheese), there were 2040 out of 24391 npc characters who had trait_cheese in the game world.

@D34DLY i added this trait to 1 character in the game and he's somewhere in Ireland & i think he's dead
D34DLY 2 Jan, 2022 @ 8:27am
upon game startup, i did a character search for the trait_cheese and there were 2060 out of 24665 NPCs that had this trait. And, yeah, I use a bunch of other mods, so unclear if this happens if this is the only mod.

Considering 99% inheritance, in a few generations, all NPCs would have this trait.

@Nylem hahaha must have been due to another mod. The ID for this trait is "845" which is waaayyy higher then the games highest numbered trait.
Nylem 17 Oct, 2021 @ 6:30am
I have to assume I had a mod interaction, because when I started a new game a good quarter (if not more) of all the characters had this trait. Made for an interesting playthrough with so many op characters running around XD

HorrifyingAbscess74 10 Oct, 2021 @ 9:23am
You see, I was born within a family of abscesses in the Horrifying dynasty, leading me to be named after my birth and my culture. However, I was ostracized from my village due to some arguments I had wit the village leaders, leading me to spend the rest of my life in a cheese village.
srctimber  [author] 9 Oct, 2021 @ 6:26pm
Hmm then why isn't your name "Cheese" or "Cheese II" or Cheese IV"? cuz right now I'm thinking your more of an abscess...
HorrifyingAbscess74 9 Oct, 2021 @ 11:55am
Dude, you know it! I literally am cheese! If you ask anyone I know who Cheese is, they will say it is me!
srctimber  [author] 8 Oct, 2021 @ 8:20pm

srctimber  [author] 6 Oct, 2021 @ 4:53pm

HorrifyingAbscess74 3 Oct, 2021 @ 5:54pm

This "Cheese" trait gives you many powers not seen in the picture. You can see all the buffs when you add it to your character.
