Does this require any additional mods? I've only got this one active and can't find the leader in the leader selection screen.

Somone should really make a ww2 Romania with Antonescu as leader and proper ethnic units because the ones for this one are all non-Historical Romanian units, espicialy the anti tank gun and tank and many other units

Da-doy.. I jus read up on the history of Romania's flag and found an explanation. I was just cuious about that choice of blue, but after reading a teensy bit, I can see why. :D

@Davey_henniger

I just recently downloaded several of your Balkan civs. I love what you did with them, but I am curious why you choose these colors for Romania. Just curious. :)

are you planning to remake this mod or maybe wallachia/moldavia at a point?
Romania has never been a conquest civilization,we were mostly on the defensive, taking great profit of land abuse(scorching our lands and poisoning the wells) and night assaults to drive off enemies.

Why is Romania a conquest civ?? Historically it has always been on the defensive, and being conquered!:steamfacepalm:

Could I see the music credits? I love the works of classical music included with this civilization.

Checked again. The crash is caused by playing your civ with the Reform and Rule mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=187067802&searchtext=reform - this mod changes policy effects). As a combination of both would be very nice, could you check what is causing the breakdown?

Thanks alot.

I sure wish this civ had its own music :(

I think he's referring to the fact that Vlad Tepes is considered a National Hero in Romania, but as always, for countries still around today, a person could take leaders/units/buildings from different era's.
--
Among western history though, I would say Vlad Tepes is one of the most well known Romanian leaders, even if his reign was not long (in comparison to others), he did fight off and protect Romania from many different invaders in his time. So he probably feels he was the most appropriate leader.

I'm kinda on Ramblin Bob's boat. You are correct though, he could have been a bit more forthcoming in the reasoning behind his criticism :)

For some reasons, after the updates, the file delete itself. Anyway, thanks for your help! Is fixed now.

@mathias.riechert How many cities did you have? So you're saying, when it's for example -101% it would crash, right? I'll give it a shot. I hope it's not the case, though.
EDIT: It still functions. I set PolicyCostModifier to -103 and the unhappiness modifier to -103 as well. It still works.. I don't exactly know what 'reform and rule' does, though. Unhappiness from Number of Cities went to -0.07 (lol) and policy cost to 5 (from 25). Doesn't really make sense, though ;P
@^2l2p^3#^4Gerapppa What about constructive criticism? What is inaccurate according to you? < Never said this mod was historically accurate in any way, though..

Dude i'll buy a history book for you...
mathias.riechert 31 May, 2014 @ 4:21am
Thank you for the great mod - i really enjoy playing this civ. Unfortunately, it crashes later in the game. I'm playing with "race for religion" and "reform and rule", therefore i don't know if its caused by the interplay of the mods or by the mod only. The game crashes later in the game: i was only building two cities and apart from that only conquering cities. It happened in two games now that if i conquer a new city, the game crashes. therefore i was wondering if it might be caused by the UA, therefore the culture percentage would be below zero with the new city and the game therefore crashes? could you check on that? thanks alot :)

@Codrut Sorry, I don't seem to get a notification anymore when someone posts a message here! Go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS
Codrut 30 May, 2014 @ 10:06am
This is strange.. Can you tell me where the file normaly download? I will delete it and reinstall it.
DJSHenninger  [author] 30 May, 2014 @ 1:07am
@Codrut Just tested this mod and everything still works. The only thing I did was to delete one of two files that basically did the same thing: add the unique unit skin to the game. The skin still works as well. Try to use the Direct Download.
DJSHenninger  [author] 30 May, 2014 @ 12:52am
@Codrut Strange, let me see what's wrong.
Codrut 28 May, 2014 @ 4:33pm
Hello. After the last update, I no longer see Mihai into my civilization. Does anybody know what to do?

@kianadarkrose Thanks for your feedback. The first one is something I probably forgot, which I can fix easily. I also agree with your second point. Also, your remark about the trait is useful, although it makes sense; if you would notice the effects in early/mid game it would probably become too powerful later.

This mod was really great. I didn't really feel the effect of the UA (The one for culture and hapiness from conquests) until about the industrial Era, where I had about half of the world under my control. Though I found two glitches, both involving the UU, the Dorobant.

1: The Dorobant's Icon in Strategic mode still looks like a Great War Infantry. Though even in strategic mode, it maintains its true icon if it's garrisoned within a city.
2: The Dorobant's negative promotion, the one that gives it the -25% defense, carries through promotions. Making Modern Infantries and Mechanized infantries slightly less durable than they should be, especially since the Dorobant's no gold upkeep ability doesn't carry over through promotions.

But all in all, this was one of the better civs I ever played. Keep up the good work. Last comment: The Unique Building is really fantastic. Getting culture from things like stone, and deer was awesome. Though I didn't expect to also get it from fish. :)

It's the first mod with Romania. I like !!!!
DJSHenninger  [author] 21 May, 2014 @ 1:13am
@AngryChristian Wrote an entry in the description. The strategy is quite obvious. While it is not completely revolved around conquest, the main idea is to conquer enemies while still being able to adequately adopt policies and maintain happiness. This more or less coincides with Michael the Brave and Romania's size.
Alfe Fyr 20 May, 2014 @ 5:30pm
Finally! Also, strategy?
