That's awesome, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

This was the second sub in our playthrough. No major complaints or bugs come to mind. We use mods that let us change things as we continue, so I added some extra drainage to the bilge. The engine room could have also used some given how often it flooded. People were ready to switch to T3 when it became available but didn't want to swap to another T2 which I think is the hallmark of a well balanced T2 sub.

It's entirely possible I did it for that reason, but it may also just be that I didn't think about it back then! :)

Heyo, I'm making a custom retrofit of your sub for my friends and I, and I'm kinda brand new to ship editing. I've been wondering for a while now, why are the junction boxes powered in series instead of parallel like in some other ships? Doesn't that make the power system much more fragile and high maintenance?

It's big it's expensive and it's poorly made, 10/10 wouldn't buy or use :beeped:

Really visually and conceptually interesting design -- the vertical ballasts really add a nice weird-factor to it. Nicely set up for campaign play, with basic equipment via autofill containers, nothing out of sorts. The cargo room, the two-story command room and the reactor room are really evocative -- they have a feel to them, pretty cool. One thing that would make it really cool, and sort of go along with its weirdness, would be for one or both ballast rooms to be set up as a brig-of-sorts, similar to how the Taringr does it. A motion detector sensing when someone is in there, and limiting the water level to below, say, the top level.

ah right, kinda forgot about that. nevermind then.

@pyr0kid I may take a look at the docking port but I'm not entirely sure about the suggestion, keep in mind that without batteries to take in excess power the junction room literally bursts in flames when you slow down lol

so its like fucking regenerative braking, thats cool.

by the way i found another issue and got another suggestion for you.

issue: the power grid isnt wired to the docking port, no power from station.

suggestion: rig it up so the batteries charge slowly when docked, it would be nice to depart with charged batteries.

@pyr0kid Hey, thanks for the comment! I'll look into some of these - that said, the limited gun arc is on purpose (so basically the front is a weak point) and the batteries definitely do work, assuming you meant that they don't recharge and that nothing else is interfering with the sub (the batteries only charge when there's excess power in the grid, usually when you slow down the engine).

i like your submarine. for your convenience ive compiled a few issues and suggestions in an imgur album.
