Servers can force you to download mods to join in Arma. And you can turn off downloading all content in CS.
There is no "would be nice" about it. Source engine's content delivery system is better than Arma's. CS servers can't harm your PC or install stuff that corrupts your game, yet in Arma people can join with hacks if mods are not locked. You can clearly see which one is more abusable.

@<A2>Valquiria To be fair, I'd rather have this system than having the system of Counter strike where a server can force mods upon me.
Sure, it would be nice but it could also be abused.

In a perfect world, all clients would load the same addons and this would not be necessary.
