So, my suggestion: add passive health regen to Grounder, introduce a repair mechanic that is reaosnably easy to do, let them fight shadow creatures, or remove the movement and attack penalties from Robotnik or let him be able to craft items that compensates for and eventually trumps his weaknesses. Any of these would work.

Personallly, I would have preferred if at least Grounder had a passive health regen or if you could repair them. As it now is, it's basically a worse Wendy. The science plus is great in the start, but neglectable once you get your first science machine up. Unlike Abigail, Scratch and Grounder lack any form of AOE, meaning that they will take a lot of damage from fighting a spider mob, though they can stunrape single targets like tallbirds.
Sure, you can rebuild them, but Grounder needs nightmare fuel, which is best obtained from shadow creatues. The problem is, you need to go insane for that to happen, and Robotnik's high sanity and his dumbbots sanity auras makes this difficult. And since followers are useless vs shadow creatures, his 25% less damage and movement speed would make things hard for him.

If you're talking about the nosensical ATOSH Robotnik (this one/fat one) and the super demonic evil one who turns every living thing into robots (SSAM/sonic saturday a.m.) yeah, they're the same person. It's kind of like they're in different realities because they are vastly different, but with the same goal. The stupid fat one from ATOSH has a evil lair and 2 robotic minions, but he isn't a big threat or anything. The super evil one from SSAM has already taken over the world, has vast armies of robots, and sonic and his friends are hiding in holes in the ground because otherwise he'd wreck their shit. They both want to rule the world and defeat/kill sonic, just one is a bumbling bafoon and the other is a truely evil mastermind.
