clearly remember they did their own port (and is still available)
my version just simply fixed models and sounds
there shouldn't be any issues with the NAV
unless the author themself could've maybe improved it originally
but if you suspect anything not working correctly, it could be fixed by Time Lord
that's usually one of many things needing redone when you port
Applying a copyright notice to a work has not been required since March 1, 1989. A notice may still provide practical and legal benefits. Notice typically consists of the copyright symbol or the word “Copyright,” the name of the copyright owner, and the year of first publication.
When deciding to use a work protected by copyright, the general rule is to seek permission from the copyright owner. Under the copyright law, a copyright owner may authorize activities that fall under the exclusive rights of copyright.
The copyright in a work initially belongs to the author(s) who created that work. When two or more authors create a single work with the intent of merging their contributions into inseparable or interdependent parts of a unitary whole, the authors are considered joint authors and have an indivisible interest in the work as a whole. By contrast, if multiple authors contribute to a collective work, each author’s individual contribution is separate and distinct from the copyright ownership in the collective work as a whole.

" This is a very old campaign that was never finished. This campaign was an experiment I never got to work how I wanted. It was abandoned after this initial release because of lack of interest in Left 4 Dead. Many things have broken over the years due to various game updates such as static props going invisible on the jungle-themed map. "
All of the parts are really well-made, the problem is thats it just is non-sensical.
You start with a decrepit labyrinthic house then you go through a door...directly in the Haunted Mansion attraction from Disney World, then through an other door to... the Moria ?
Got no problem with the idea of "switching" worlds, but just include a logical explanation in the level design : we could be in the Holodeck from Star Trek, or the imaginarium from Community or we could be going through portals, or simulations from the Matrix, etc... It could easily be made through the saferooms, tied up to give this a "sense" of campaign.
Honestly anyone can replace missing models, textures, sounds,
No one single person can own a claim to that.
All renaming vtx files and making sound caches does is restore content already included.
No maps are being edited or modified therefore nothing's being stolen.
And we still link back to the original creators.
With that being said, everything is included in one single fix allowing user choice.
Also, I have had actual contact with them and they're both friends of mine.
