@ashbale - the containers are cars to the code, so the chance they spawn unlocked is based on that setting. If you find a locked one you may be able to find a key on a nearby zombie or object, otherwise I would suggest downloading a lockpicking mod.

Hey all, I haven't found a container that is unlocked yet. I can't unlock them or disassemble the door. Any tips would be appreciated!

@Dreacon Not sure if you figured out your question yet but I was able to load the iso onto the hauler. I use the compatibility addon for the autostar trailers mod which you might need to do so but it does indeed allow me to haul it.

its because you didn't put spaces before or after the link, so it thinks the ( and ) are part of the link

@WolfiePwnzU - Steam is such a pain. It is a copy of the link to the actual Steam page. They must not trust their own site I guess. Yes that is the mod I am referring to. I will need to find the trailer and then test it out on the container, if I can find one without dying.

@Dreacon - Steam seems to think that link is dodgy and blocks it, but I am assuming you are referring to the Autotsar Trailers - Hauler mod. I've not tried it personally, but I assume this would work unless there is anything in the Containers! mod that blocks that specific action.

Why not just stick wheels on the "vehicles"? I still have only seen one to in all my play hours. They look cool though.

hello
i have found a gas container and iv found a flat bed truck. was wondering if theres anyway to put the container on the back of it or if theres a lorry or some kind to tow/ attach to it?

@brk4m1k4z3br - are running the Week one Mod by Slayer? His mod stops trailers spawimg for the first 7 days to balance it. After the nuke or 9 am Friday trailers should then spawn .

@Ryoko Darkstar - I think a lot of folks would love that, but with the way vehicles are implemented I am not sure it's possible. The shipping containers are considered as 'cars' and you can't stack cars in the game (at the moment)

It would be nice to have a semi that could hoist the containers up onto the flatbed, making transport much easier than just praying for straight roads. Hitting zombies with your vehicle slows you down moving these awesome things by quite a bit.

@brk4m1k4z3br, none that i know, i'm running this mod with more 79(80 total), and i havent any issues, most of the mods i have are most popular though.

If that happens it may be a mod conflict on your end, i just finished a test with the recent patch(42.5), and i dont have any issues, even burnt ones spawned.

First of all, thank you so much for your effort! I definitely love your mods.

Is there any conflict with other mods in B42? I'm running some tests with the debug mod, and whenever I spawn any container, it appears momentarily and then disappears.

I have always used a lockpicking mod so not really had to hunt around for keys to them.

I can confirm that keys CAN spawn for these. I found a burned out container spawn in front of a farm house and found a key for it on a zombie and a second in a drawer in the house

@Only Farms - these items weight 2-3 tons in real life and don't have any wheels. They are not easy to move so 1-5kph is the best you'll get.

From experience I've found moving them in 1st gear is easier. If you car shifts up then stop, get some slack, then accelerate again for a 'tug' and a few seconds of driving.
Driving in reverse may also be easier.

@Thrice - the containers are 'cars' in the game code, but I am not sure if keys can spawn for them.
You can either break the door or remove the door (I think that works)

Good evening brothers and sisters, I hope the zombie exterminatus has been going well for everyone. I bring fourth a question to the adeptus mechanicus of this mod, I know of your love bring joy to our dreary lives. Is it possible to make a change that would allow us to build cargo containers as non-movable buildings, like the chicken hutch ?

@xKonstantinx - They are extremely heavy and difficult to move. You may want to try pushing it by reversing a car into it, or if pulling then do short tugs. Either way will take you ages to transport any significant distances.

@OxTailSafu - if I recall the fill option interaction is only on one of the short sides, that looks like it has a small control panel/box (look at Pic 1 & 3 of 8)

How exactly are you meant to put gas in the giant gas trailers? I've tried moving one of them next to a gas pump but I don't seem to have an option to fill it with gas, am I missing something?

(B41 Multiplayer) My container has turned into a car for some reason? My items are still in there and it has the same carry weight. Not sure what to do. The mods list looks fine and there aren't any errors I can see.

I don't know if I did something wrong, I added this to my B42 preexisting save and it greyed out the texture of my vehicles.

The mod seems to have broke in my save (Build41), it turned the containers into cars today (after 3 months of playing). I looked at the mod list and it says damnlib is required and the containers mod is now disabled? How do I fix this?

Added support for B42 unstable again(If you find bugs, reports should be submitted in a B42 Bug report discussion of affected mods, many more mods are on the way but this initial public test with few selected mods will help debug things faster and balance the stats better before next round of updates.)
