[WW2C+PGW] Nagant Revolver minipack

Its because thats how double action revolvers work. The hammer is normally down (in some, you can't even lock it in the cocked position), and pulling the trigger moves it to the cocking position. That rotary movement is a bit awkward for your finger, as you're transforming a backwards/slightly rotated movement into a different one, which takes strength.
Single action revolvers don't suffer that, as pulling is just releasing the hammer, but then you have to manually put it back

The sad part is that most (not outdated) revolver mods are like that and none of them (To my knowledge) have the same type of reload this mod has.

Also, you need to hold because it's double action. The hammer needs to be pulled back, this isn't an automatic pistol like King said :D

The fact you need HOLD fire for it to shoot instead of tapping ruins this mod. I wish there was a mod like this that had a revolver that you can click instead of hold AND used animations that holds the revolver in one hand when holding and firing it.

Using the double action version? Nagants had a pretty hefty trigger pull for double action mode.

It's not deleted, just removed from the mod. The idea was that we want most variants to be unique in some way, and people were complaining that the infantry revolver was useless.
Since functionally it was the same as the suppressed one (only difference is the sound and the model), we decided that it made sense to delete it like people wanted.

(Basically people said that the infantry variant didnt' make any sense because you'd just pick the officer one since it was better)

Shit, it's already been done, why delete something that's already been done? A strange decision...
Mellamomellamo  [author] 31 Oct, 2024 @ 2:41am
We removed it because we prefer having less variants, and it's functionality is on the supressed one now
K O M Z E R 30 Oct, 2024 @ 3:11pm
Where is the infantry version of the M1895? Did you accidentally delete it?
Novice_Rifleman 14 Oct, 2024 @ 2:25pm
Well it's alright. Good luck with your class!
Mellamomellamo  [author] 14 Oct, 2024 @ 12:27pm
No clue, specially since class began again so i'm too tired to mod normally xd
Novice_Rifleman 14 Oct, 2024 @ 7:42am
Any chance you'll make more gate-loading revolvers? Something like a Rast and Gasser 1898 for the WW2 Collection?
Mellamomellamo  [author] 23 Sep, 2024 @ 12:01pm
Idk, we removed it because several people along with devs thought it was a useless variant
Karl 23 Sep, 2024 @ 11:44am
@Mellamomellamo At least the single action version is still included in PGW, right?
vina 18 Aug, 2024 @ 3:28am
please bring back the slowed and realistic reload
Mellamomellamo  [author] 14 Aug, 2024 @ 3:50am
The WW2 collection mod had the single action version removed due to simplicity, as it had no in-game purpose.
We always want most variants to feel at least somewhat unique, and in this case we decided that the supressor was a more sensible variant.
While in real life they had two variants, as the description i myself wrote states, the single action version was over time replaced basically completely.
Korsakovia 14 Aug, 2024 @ 12:09am
@User My dude there literally were two variants before the collapse of the Russian Empire. One was double action and given to officers. The other was single action and given to normies. Removing one is a stupid pointless decision especially considering this is part of both the WW2 Collection and PGW.
HalfMetalMewto 4 Jan, 2024 @ 12:32pm
Pls add quicker reload like on BF1 revolvers
Novice_Rifleman 8 Oct, 2023 @ 10:27am
I love and hate this thing. It's damage is good plus it sounds great, but it reloads slower than a musket.
Olive 13 Aug, 2023 @ 10:57pm
@Mellamomellamo can you remove the soldier's version of the revolver like in the collection?
clint eastwood 8 Mar, 2023 @ 10:04am

Switching a cylinder shouldn't be done in combat, as you can pretty much just screw the gun with a bit of mud getting inside the moving surfaces (as the cylinder not just rotates, but moves back and forth it's even more sensible)
Mellamomellamo  [author] 14 Aug, 2022 @ 2:27am
No
commandantkraus 14 Aug, 2022 @ 1:52am
Is there a version of this with a cylinder switch reload, the one bullet at a time thing is just so slooooooooow.

you gonna make the STG 45 anytime soon?
Papa_Melchett 16 Oct, 2021 @ 11:04pm
The soilders could of picked up spare cylinders from fallen comrades, like they might of done with the fedorov, unlikley, but distinctly possible.
Papa_Melchett 16 Oct, 2021 @ 2:50pm
Ah yeah i do know that type 11 from bfv, really annoying reloads.
moxsi  [author] 16 Oct, 2021 @ 2:35am
besides, what russian/soviet soilder would be privileged with multiple cylinders anyway?
Mellamomellamo  [author] 16 Oct, 2021 @ 2:10am
Cylinder replacemen wasn't a reloa, it was a way to clean the gun. This is like the Typ 11's hopper reload from Bf5, a made up thing that, while possible, was not really done because of how impractical it would be
Papa_Melchett 15 Oct, 2021 @ 8:37pm
Love the double action and the gate loading machanics, a cylinder replacement reload (like bf1) would be nice on an empty reload.
montyfat 15 Oct, 2021 @ 3:12pm
FINALLY! I was waiting for something like this!
Bomb Voyage 15 Oct, 2021 @ 11:54am
Its @moxsi who made it, my bad for not specifying.
Mellamomellamo  [author] 15 Oct, 2021 @ 10:23am
