Wait a sec D: There is going to be act 4? Did I get super invested in mod series I thought was finished but isn't? Nuuuuuuuuuuuu x'D This is what I wanted to avoid!

Well anyway, in hopes that this will eventually get completely finished,(assuming there is going to be act 4 or act 3 isn't satisfactory ending), should I continue playing the returns version or move to director's cut version?

My only complaint? That our hot, sassy, badass Elf Decker romance kinda... stops at some point. There isn't even a mention of it by the ending.
Still, that was one heck of a fan-dlc. Definitely thumbs-up'd and fav'd the whole series.

You mean I played through all this in Shadowrun Returns only to be forced to play it all again in Dragonfall??
Why even bother to publish this if it's impossible to play?

With Dragonfall being released as a seperate game, and being unable to get it as DLC for SR:R I thought I would be unable to finish the campaign. I'm really glad that I discovered there was a version on the team Workshoip for Shadowrun: Dragonfall too.

I recreated my character from the end of Acti II using Mystery Market and really enjoyed the conclusion to the campaign.

This was so good. When is act 4 out?

When is Act 4 coming out i love this but i really would like to hear this hasn't been abandoned

Aaaaand done! Marvellous story!
enrique.corrales 4 Aug, 2015 @ 9:21am
I love it so far! The story's surprisingly engaging while retaining an uneasy sense of ambiguity and I loved the levels and encounters. My only gripe so far is that the script has a few consistent typos and odd turns of phrase, but it's overall damn near professional quality.

Absolutely awesome UGC. Capturing storytelling, interesting characters and scenes, well paced combat and plenty of opportunities to use a characters' skills. Far beyond the quality any other UGC I have seen. _b

This campaign is simply awesome! I am waiting for more acts!

Okay, finally got Act 3 converted to the Director's Cut. Here's a link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=397656237

"Aahh! Such a disappointment - can't run Act 3 (same as the previous posters - Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Dragonfall as standalone) - any suggestions?"

Ashram, dude, wouldn't it make sense if you made act 3 for Dragonfall that you would upload it to the Dragonfall Content Workshop instead of here, so that Dragonfall will upload it to the Games Directory?
wuthering20 2 Feb, 2015 @ 11:16pm
Like evey other player who doesn't have Dragonfall as a DLC here, I enjoy playing Act 1 and 2 almost since the beginning but have to stop at the cliffhanger at end of Act 2. The story-telling is the most engagin I've seen among all the shadowrun UGCs. Really hope you can convert it to DC! Keep up good work!

Just finished this series from start to end. Loved the plot and the combat and design wasn't too shabby either. Compile it into 1 single module for Dragonfall Standalone, and I'd call it a wrap.

Is there any way to get Dragonfall as dlc and not as a stand-alone game???
StalwartSoul 31 Dec, 2014 @ 11:53am
Aw, without Dragonfall I can't start Act III. Too bad. @Ashram will you be releasing a fix for this?
Tenka 30 Dec, 2014 @ 7:06am
omg I just finished this campaign .. this was AMAZING! .. Your writing is superb! Please make Act 4! ..
FiveK777 21 Dec, 2014 @ 8:31pm
any news on whether you will be finishing the story/updating it?
Shortkit 14 Oct, 2014 @ 9:21pm
If you have DF:DC you can't play it at all. It needs to be converted or something.
andy.robbo 14 Oct, 2014 @ 2:07am
I've got the same issue as lucasarndt. Any news on when Act 3 will work with the Dragonfall standalone?
lucasarndt 6 Oct, 2014 @ 10:38pm
hey, i played already act 1 and 2 and was looking forward to the third part, but had to realize, that i can't get it running :( i've got the sr:dms and sr:df dc as stand-alones... where can i get the df dlc right now? it vanished since the release of the df dc...
and for dragonfall dc, this content is not available yet.
thanks for your help and go on, making such great campaigns!!!
Ashram  [author] 11 Sep, 2014 @ 8:11pm
@AwesomeBrand - Act 3 here will always require the Dragonfall DLC because he contains set pieces (walls, floor tiles, etc) that are unique to the Dragonfall DLC. When the stand-alone Director's Cut comes out, there will be some changes in balancing. Depending on how game-changing they are, I may address them or I may not, depending on how much work it takes. I really want to start work on Act 4, so we'll see. That being said, if you get the Dragonfall DLC now, you will get a free upgrade to the Director's Cut, so if you want to play Act 3 while it's balanced correctly, I would recommend getting Dragonfall now, playing Act 3, and then riding the free upgrade to the Director's Cut.
AwesomeBrand 11 Sep, 2014 @ 5:24pm
Dragonfall is having a standalone director's cut that's being released soon, so I was considering waiting to get that. Is it possible to make this not require dragonfall in the future or will we have to wait and see how compatibility pans out when SR DF:DC comes out?
Guccimane417 6 Sep, 2014 @ 11:09am
Damn.... I just finished Act 2 Part 2, and don't have Dragonfall. :(
plasmoidal 23 Aug, 2014 @ 1:04pm
Excellent work! Good writing and a lot of momentum to the story. The level designs were nice and varied and not too long (better in some ways than the base campaign). My only desire would be for a greater variety of ways to complete objectives (e.g., more opportunities for stealth, conversation options, decking, etc.). This "complaint" really just reflects how much the world and characters have grown, though; I want to be able to interact with them even more!

Thanks for the work you've put in, and I'm looking forward to the next installment!
K-no-K / 九尾の狐 21 Aug, 2014 @ 1:54pm
I just finished this whole act and it was really great. I was so glad things opened a bit area wise, the story got thicker and the different parts, including the missions, were very nicely done.

I guess I will be very glad to dicover the next part when it comes out. Lots of efforts were put into this, so congratz to the author and big kuddos to him.

On a final note, I will only add that if, somehow, the whole story goes into just one module, it will get even more attention that it already does.

Thank you for the time spend in this, it was great to play it.
Ashram  [author] 20 Aug, 2014 @ 3:30pm
lol, don't blame yourself, it really needs a waypoint. You're not the first person to comment about it :)

 Can't believe I missed that...................
Ashram  [author] 19 Aug, 2014 @ 4:00pm
@K-no-K / 九尾の狐 - you can go through the hole in the wall they emerged from.
K-no-K / 九尾の狐 19 Aug, 2014 @ 9:10am
Damn my game seems to be bugged (others acts weren't execpt for 22 not showing up in the final fight of the first part). After completing my first mission I go collect some money from my friends of the order and I receive a call from 39 saying that the HQ is being attacked.

After going back and dispatching the three goons nothings happens.....
hans 5 Aug, 2014 @ 8:40am
I don't understand how people had the patience to wait for this. Act 1 and 2 (part 1 and 2) together could basically be called "a short introduction". Act 3 however is wonderfull. This is where the campaign really gets started. I really hope you keep it up. We could end up with a wonderfull campaign, even rivaling dead mans switch and dragonfall once it's all done and put together. Looking forward to it! (and the next act as a first step towards that final goal) =)
chevleclair 31 Jul, 2014 @ 2:54pm
I absolutely love the storytelling in this module. The only thing I worry about is that the Blades of Antioch suddenly become the bad guys. Making the monotheistic religious organization has been done so much it's cliche in so much fiction writing that it would almost be surprising to see that Testament's intentions are actually pure in the end.
Fluxion 30 Jul, 2014 @ 4:23pm
Thanks for all your help BTW!
Fluxion 30 Jul, 2014 @ 4:23pm
I wish I could point you in a direction to help, but since it seems to be rather isolated to me, I dont' even kow where to begin. Everything else ran smooth as silk. Maybe I'll replay the final fight and see what that does. I've had save files corrupt for no resaon before on the game so who knows what could be happening.
Ashram  [author] 30 Jul, 2014 @ 2:54pm
Well, I tried re-creating the bug, but had no luck. Not sure what is causing that for you. On the plus side, if you want to see the ending, just open up Act 3 in the Shadowrun Editor, and load the last scene. Once you beat the twins and look into the portal, all that's left is an epilogue back in Seattle, but believe me, it is -very- worth the look :)
Fluxion 30 Jul, 2014 @ 1:10am
nope... just my luck, the end is bugged out for me. UGH Expolsion, then nothing. And 22 seems to be missing unless he's just not shown in that scene since he's injured.
Fluxion 29 Jul, 2014 @ 10:45pm
hum, lemme turn my paging file back on... some games act wierd without it. Maybe that will fix it. So far they just stand there frozen though I can coursor around the map and bring up my profile (i.e. the game doen't lock up entirely).
Ashram  [author] 29 Jul, 2014 @ 8:09pm
Hmmm, after the explosion and everyone hits the floor, it should auto-load to the final scene, an epilogue back in Seattle.
Fluxion 29 Jul, 2014 @ 5:48pm
ah ha! got him on the right spots! Just couldn't seem to get them three at first. I thought I needed to click on the yellow... you have to be slightly off center of them. My final problem (of course I have one more) is, at the end, after the explosion, everything just stops. I can't move talk, do anything... is that the end? I assume not since no credits. I've tried resetting the level and reloading, but I just stand there frozen after the explosion. I looked around the map (maybe not good enough) for something I was supposed to click on or do.
Fluxion 29 Jul, 2014 @ 4:23pm
I thought I'd tried that, and I didn't see any waypoints,; then again, I thought I'd explored the whole cave till I found that spot on the side. I mean I've moved everyone around the platform. Going to try again right now. Eirther way, probably the best player made dlc I've played yet.
Ashram  [author] 29 Jul, 2014 @ 2:48pm
Basically, you have to surround the summoning circle she's in. There will be waypoints that appear around it. Just move a character (doesn't matter which) near, or on, each waypoint as it appears. If someone is already standing on a waypoint when it appears, you may have to move them out, then back on it.
Fluxion 29 Jul, 2014 @ 11:00am
thanks I found it, it was in an odd spot... now I can't seem to et anything to happen once 39 steps on the platform.. I go into combat and evrythng ust.... stops. UGH, guess I need to be more patient... it's all been so straigt-forward so far. GREAT mod though. Kudos, lots of work.
Ashram  [author] 29 Jul, 2014 @ 1:03am
@Fluxion - check on the southwest side of the map, near some owl/bird graffiti, there is an exit leading to another section of the mountain. Good luck :)
Fluxion 28 Jul, 2014 @ 11:46pm
I'm completely lost in the cave sysytem; I keep running back and forth from the beginning to the shaman and there's no "pool" anywhere to be found. I have no clue what I'm missing but there's literally nothing to fight, click or kill anywhere between the 3(4?) scene changes.
Ashram  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 12:24pm
@der Hausmeister - once you kill the three gangers, you can move through the bit of wall they blew open and continue into gang territory.
der Hausmeister 20 Jul, 2014 @ 11:53am
sooo, not the best i've played but a nice done. The levels seem to be a little empty but then.. the story is ok.
tried to play act 3 but the scene where bandits attack the capel seems to be broken. After the first three bandits nothing happens anymore.
The Fedora Fan 20 Jul, 2014 @ 12:17am
Lots of good things to say about this module. :) Well written, well visualized. The inclusion of a Dead Man's Switch character was very interesting, as was the revelations at the end.
You've made the world your own. :) Well done.
Jarn the Paladin 17 Jul, 2014 @ 12:41am
Litrally just finished Act 3 and I love it! Great job! I definatly adored Testament. Even through my screen, he gave the aura of a mega-powerful but wise and caring man. And 39 and 22 were so life-like, the way u wrote them. Real moving, your work, Ashram, real moving. I salute you as a genuis of this age in storytelling.

My most honest hope is you have more to come, so we can see how the tale of the Vessels plays out now they are free. Thank you for making such a great story.
