I just noticed there's something at the back of the hat (by looking at the gif), however, the images don't really showcase that. I wonder what that would be.

I guess I could download it as a mod and see, but you may want to showcase the back as well.

I found out this cosmetic since I follow FarLegends for a while now, and little did I know that this is wurlmon's first Workshop upload, great stuff man!

And I do know that It's supposed to be a "scan your field of vision" and maybe some Mind Control stuff, but If I'm being honest, that's just not working with me chief.

On it's own, It's quite boring and another "object on merc head".
But combined with other cosmetics, like the Cute Suit.
You could probably make a Engineer/Cyborg loadout. Which, after watching SamWiz's Drip or Drown 10, I think we could use more hats like this to make a Sentry-Engi Clan.
This does sorta look like something Engie would wear. Just kind of though.
If It's just a helmet with the Wrangler on it, then hell no. But If Engie is actually seeing out of the wrangler, then yeah, It'd probably work. It just still looks like a Helmet though, so maybe you can make a small change? Something to up the "high tech visor" gimmick. Overall, I'm neutral about it.
