On top of the previous issue, I think this mod also makes hacked Spectres bugged. Hacked Spectres literally cannot do anything. Can't move, shoot, etc.

Is it intended that the spawned Spectre is so low level? I'm in a very lategame playthrough, force level 20, and the Spectre has 4 hp and 65 aim.

This is balanced for the start of the game, but at this point it's an unplayable class. Is there a way to make the spawned minion scale with the summoner's class?

@Wolf Renegade, I used the mod Ability Editor to put charges on the summons, like this:

+Abilities = (AbilityName=XZSpawnCodex, Charges=3), so you can summon 3 times the codex.

I put more restrictions like cooldown and AP. This just an example, you can refer on that mod for more options.

Is there a way to change the amount of summons within this and the monster master?

I've found something in the configs but It didn't seem to do anything whilst I couldn't find anything for the monster master

First of all, great mod! i only discovered it recently and its helping me make some character concepts i didnt know i needed til now!

Im having an issue though: During my campaign runs (2 of them now) at some point after getting the mg version of the combat computer, the combat computer just disappears off of the character im currently equipping, and is completely gone as an item in the campaign. I cant even spawn one in using console commands. Pretty sure its a mod conflicting with another mod, but i cant for the life of me make any headway on how to resolve it. If the mod creator or anyone has any imput on the issue, itd be GREATLY appreciated, as im loving this mod otherwise. THANKS!

it took me almost a whole day to figure out why i my game was crashing when trying to spawn an advent trooper.. come to find out it was a mod called Corrosive Rounds, I deleted it and no crashes anymore

Some issues:

1. The Super Computer weapon tiers currently do not add HP to summons like they should. You're stuck with 4-5 HP summons which get one-shot by everything mid and late game.

2. ShadowboundStorm procs on any range, not just melee range.

3. Abilities are shared across all summons. i.e. a Shieldbearer can teleport if you purchased that ability for your Codex.

@Digan the creator of this mod made a struct to make abilities mutually exclusive (presumably for balance purposes), but they also let you disable that in the .ini

Go to your workshop folder, go to folder ID 2632402107 > Config > XComGameData_XenoZoologist

Just remove these lines:

+MutuallyExclusiveAbilities = (Abilities=(XZSpawnTroopers, XZSpawnCodex))
+MutuallyExclusiveAbilities = (Abilities=(XZSpawnTroopers, XZSpawnSpectre))
+MutuallyExclusiveAbilities = (Abilities=(XZSpawnSpectre, XZSpawnCodex))

also seems like the shadowboundstorm picks up and shadow bounds enemies way far away from the spectre like I mean 12 tiles long idk why its doing that unless its distance is micalculated but it should be looked at cause rn my spectre just shadowed 2 units per pod and we are an army lol which isn't totally bad but a little op

I’m a weirdo and wanna make a max level version of this be able to summon it all haha plan on using it as a hero and under tight restrictions but not on the abilities. Idk how possible that is though

What happens if you use ap to get all the abilities it won’t summon all of the units I assume but idk what it would do.

@silverleaf1 Advent always uses the advent rifle with the red particle shot, visually equivalent to the magnetic tier of weapons. The damage scales with your Arm Super Computer however.

This is a great mod but it seems like whenever a character equips the quantum computer, their attitude automatically changes to By the Book and can't be changed back until they equip something else.

Honestly, really cool class setup BUT i feel like a good choice would be to allow Entire tree to be used? That would make him actually worth ;/ Only single tree i dont feel is worth, Especially if ur using RPGO..... the fact that the skills are just replacing each other is kinda... bad :/ Very cool idea But i think u should allow all the units to be summoned , rather than just 1.. im playing with a ton of mods , lots of enemy mods and this class baseline just dosnt go up to par ;/ RPGO or without i feel this class just gets left behind ;/ Would be cool as hell Otherwise if we could actually utilize the entire skillset for this class^^

I also agree on Skulljack to be a primary weapon pick for this :O Just please, make other skill trees also usable, this would be epic to use if i could utilize entire tree :O

The trooper path for this class tends to be the buggiest from my experience. General outright crashes the game the majority of the time, Shieldbearer and Stun lancer are hit or miss on the spawn crashing.

The "Grant Undying Loyalty" ability is pretty cool, but it has an annoying side effect.. Evacuating the Zoologist before their troops causes them to die and respawn as zombies. Since they can't evac themselves, missions where you need to extract all XCOM soldiers can't be completed unless you find a way to get rid of them.

gatekeepers gateway ability when it kills your spawned units that have eternal enslavement on still makes psi-zombies essentially duplicating bodies

Guess this is the closest i'll get to a beast master class, any chance to add a Berserker? i love that unit and the only way to use it is with mind control :p, i want one as my pet

@Merman82 At the end of an enemy VIP mission at the end the last friendly unit left was a zombie of a summoned stun lancer. I could not evac the unit using the fixed evac. I was able to march the unit to the enemy reinforcements. I thought when I evacuated the Zoologist the link would be broken but I guess I was mistaken. The fully promoted unit in this class is very handy on many missions. Thank you for your hard work on this class, one of the most unusual I have seen and I have tested a lot of classes.

Forgot to bring this up, but I feel like the Shadowbound Bladestorm like ability is bugged. It says it Shadowbounds targets that attack or enter melee range, but it seems to apply to any range the Spectre can reach and it doesn't just work if they're right next to the Spectre. Not sure if this was by design or if it's a bug.

trooper path has crashed my campaign so many times ive unfortunately been forced to remove it. love the idea of this class however i with it was more along the lines of a hero class. maybe a skull jack style ability that converts advent to your side rather than spawning your own.

I love this class, but question: Is there a way to modify the appearance or stats of the spawned ADVENT Troopers? If so, how?

My thinking is that ADVENT troops looking a bit too humanlike for the flavor of this class, so I was considering modifying their appearance. Admittedly it's not too big a deal given that ADVENT Troops are biological drones or something, but still.

cool idea, I'm trying it out. May I suggest making a version of the skulljack as his primary weapon? And the ability to equip a pistol as secondary. Perhaps some skills improving skulljack reward and capabilities

I haven't run into many crashing issues with the Trooper path, barely any crashing at all.

Awesome Idea. Has anyone noticed that if you try to spawn troopers the game sometimes freezes then crashes... Or is it just me? The one who has a codex is fine, the one who has a spectre is fine but the trooper/shieldbearer/stunlancer just 50% crashes.

This an amazing mod idea, if i can add a niche suggestion; is it possible to change the spawning animation and effects to something like what the Chosen do when spawning there own troops?

@Gibbons Unfortunately it's a base game bug. All units that are spawned in don't correctly add loot to the avenger. But the spectre shouldn't be able to pickup loot. I didn't give it that ability by default. One of your other mods is likely the cause. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

A great mod indeed! I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit. I’ve noticed that when a xeno picks up loot it doesn’t count for the mission. Wasn’t sure if this was intentional or not. The spectre especially sucks up that loot when his shadowbind is maxed. Love the Xenos, miss the loot. Great work, keep it up! :sectoid:
