This is mainly a problem if you have a perimeter wall around your base and are using Giddy-Up to have colonists mount pennable animals. On occasion pennable mounts will be left behind outside the perimeter and if they're hungry, cannot be mounted again.

- Fixes area restrictions sometimes being reset on save reload.
Thanks, Owl!
- Fixes trained animals in a pen getting stuck forming a caravan.
---
Well that fixes the caravan problem. Now, as for trained animals not being able to get back into the pen is a far more complicated issue. I went around and around on trying to figure out how to deal with that, but I haven't found anything yet. Gonna need some more time with it.
Would it be possible to make the second change, not penning trained animals, configurable too?The change makes it kind of awkward for animals like horses that can't get across fences. Boundary trained animals can't get into pens, at least not pens that keep untrained animals inside. There isn't really a way to make a barn that let's in the trained animals, but keeps the untrained ones from roaming. Is it possible to let trained animals use fence gates?
I mostly use this mod when caravanning or in emergencies because overall pens make management of herds easier. The pawns can separate males and females automatically without me messing with zones.
- The minimum body size is no longer hardcoded, and you configure it in the mod options.
- Improved recognition on if an animal needs to be penned or not based on training, notably with how some mods like Giddy-up check for things like this.
