Just tried the mod and it seems to severely change cover effectiveness. According to the aiming tooltip, I went from having a 19% change to hit a small turret surrounded by cover to instead having a 55% chance with the mod on. Aiming at an autocannon turret from the bottom-left shows me 64% chance to hit without mod, 100% chance to hit with mod so it seems to make cover worse, not better for large turrets.

In the base game, turrets in "Misc. TurretBase,Objects" are not considered turrets.
Because they are defined with no turret weapons in the def files. (Those weapons are not initial, but attachments.)

Please first ask the author of "Misc. TurretBase,Objects" to fix it so that they are correctly considered turrets in the base game.

Sadly, this mod doesn't (yet?) effect the turrets made by "Misc Turretbase", though it *does* effect non-lethal turrents.

I thought larger turrets not getting cover was intentional, that they're too tall to take advantage of it. but no, its just broken an only one tile is selected for cover!?
I do not understand how this isnt in vanilla. Thank you for this wonderful mod.

People have been reporting issues with combat on all manner of mods (including being sure it was that mod because they removed it and voila). I think it's actually a vanilla issue that needs sorting.

Same problem as @Snarky Iguana, removed my mods one by one and this one seemed to be the cause. If I run it with search and destroy for example a pawn runs ro melee even if I set it to search and destroy at range.

This seemed to work great a couple days ago but it's now preventing my turrets from firing, and oddly enough preventing my pawns from automatically firing while drafted. Went through my mods one by one and this one was what caused it, wanted to let you know :)

Hello everyone. I am amazed at the playability improvements in version 1.4.
Also, in version 1.4, all turrets can now receive the covering effect without mods.

However, the behavior of turrets larger than 2x2 in size, which can only receive covering effects on the bottom left tile, does not seem to have changed. Once the official bug fixes for version 1.4 are done, I will examine the actual behavior and see if there is room for this mod to be useful.

yes a BIG bug that has killed millions of playthroughs as a person needed 1 more steel that they spent on turret coverings

Wait, that 'cover' that shows in the tooltips doesn't actually get applied? And this bug has been in the game for how long? I've been playing since 2016 and never knew that turrets didn't get a cover bonus.
