The houses puzzle is unsolvable, as the wheel symbols are missing, but at least I bugged the eye out of that chest and finished the map.
Star puzzle kinda sucks, as it's not what the constellations look like in reality (here goes "outside knowledge", huh?)
Overall the map is somewhat boring, but that tracks, as the very first puzzle was already obviously designed without the use of any braincells.
The algebra part was fine for the balance, but then it was mixed with too many puzzle elements, like the order of pyramids and vases, 1-2 should be enough
The olympic stuff was so almost impossible to figure out without the hint, also the color stuff could have been a bit more guided
The flags are kinda hard to read when they are folded like this, also having B C E under the things makes it kinda confusing, hinting to something else. Also all the flags are named "American flags" which is confusing.
The broken calculator that writes BOOBS is funny, but lead to such confusion
For the constellation, you should put 3 stars for the belt!
The house things felt like a chore too lol
This is a GREAT room. You will need time, you'll need to think hard and you'll have to communicate your thought process to your companions (don't play it alone!).
We solved every puzzle, and found them all solvable through logic.
The experience was mildly frustrating at one or two points, but in the end, when we solved it, it was super rewarding.
I love the complexity and difficulty. There are too many workshop levels that don't really challenge you. This one does. Highly recommended for all players that really want to be challenged. 10 thumbs up!
I loved the tiny house room, which is why I gave a chance to everything else.
First room
1. Remove the pyramids. You are already indicating that each shelf represents one digit. Identifying order would make more sense if the lock part would be horizontal. Give ppl chance to see other puzzles.
2. increase number of red gems somewhere, "4,2,3,1" could be an order
Colors
1. The paper seems to indicate RGB, but then some things just don't make sense. Red + Yellow is not orange in RGB. red is part of yellow.
2. Make Olympic logo more obvious. Intersection icons in between, graph, some random text on top, feels like too many red herrings to somehow conduct that there is any relation to sports. Keys didn't really look like gold & bronze, just yellow & orange.
3. Searching for keys & sorting seemed a bit unnecessary.
In the end pointing lasers seemed a bit clunky. Maybe increase the distance between options.
The very first clue had no indication of what to do when the only apparent answer was wrong. Some indication to subtract is needed. The geometry of the barrier is also glitched so if you walk into it wrong you'll be stuck outside the level with no way back in.
Once you get inside, the color puzzle used mathematical notation incorrectly. You can't subtract green from cyan, and it doesn't make yellow. Also, red + yellow = orange, yes, but not according to the color wheel provided. The puzzle needs to be solvable in the space of the game. The rings being a clue to the Olympics and the graph being standings to indicate key color is so out of left field, with nothing to lead you to deduce that. ANY indication of sports might have made it reasonable.
The spun around puzzle pieces for the math equation is just busy work and not a "puzzle" worth putting in there.
last time a room said it needed outside knowledge it meant you needed to know who Tom and Jerry are and where Canada is.
this is on a whole other level
the comments sound like those who actually know that many things to that level enjoyed it
but for the rest of us could please let us know the "outside knowledge" topics in the description or maybe a room before the puzzles begin.
better yet put the information in the room like on a poster of all the flags or make the constellation cards show the actual constellations
while I love a challenge, most people have no idea what cos sin tan are or can recognise cultures landmarks and flags
I can see why you said "not recommended for anybody" because even though I know most of the things needed to complete it some of the clues are so vague that I just couldn't do it without the entire solutions page.
TLDR: great for a team of uni grads not possible for individuals or the average Joe. needs better disclaimers
You might consider doing this with two or three others, just to increase the chance that the required outside knowledge exists between you.
Highly recommend this one as a good challenge -- we had a blast.
And a non-spoiling hint, because we wasted a lot of time looking for the last battery... None are particularly well hidden.
The puzzles have no direction and are completely incoherent. You must either think like the creator or just guess endlessly until you get the right answers. Total rubbish, I want a refund on my time
The mapping currently works out such that the bottom two shelves are switched around.
i think that given the syfi feel of the globe room its jaring to click play and load into the tomb themed room, i thought i had clicked the wrong map
an escape room provides all things needed for a puzzle
had to break immersion to tab out and google things constantly and that math section?? simple BODMAS would of been fine.
the colour puzzle good, just the subtracting colors thing is a bit silly. just keep it with the intersecting part bc that is nice
puzzles make the player feel stupid and the creator look a bit pretentious with how obtuse the puzzles can be.
Dont let negative feed back get you down, its part of the creative process.
i can see you put alot of time and effort in OP, the hidden trophies are fun! a couple of puzzle changes would make this map perfect
I look forward to revisting the map later on :)
The keys puzzle is also a bit tough to get with the clues given, namely the difference between intersection and plus, and what subtracting cyan from green means (the provided sheet doesn't help with this one) .
The flags puzzle and the houses puzzles were not too frustrating though, quite enjoyable. Thanks for providing hints too.
Overall it's nice to have some more cryptic puzzles in the game that require some outside research or a diverse set of skills, it's a nice change of pace from the usual maps, reminds me of puzzle hunts.
It might be a fun room if you added more clues.
Good thing you posted hints otherwise we were for certain f'd.
The rocket room was glitched on my playthrough and couldn't turn some of the stars.
谢谢!
