I think that when crafting the press, it should be crafted in different sections individually because crafting it all requires a large backpack to hold all materials so i think if you crafted sections (maybe 3 or so?) and then assembled them it would make it easier. alicepack is hard to find on hard mode.

WOW its cool, becouse without alicepack you cant craft. Very good, love it. Good for vanilla hard mode, where a lot of metal but hard to find ammo. Cool!!!!!

Sadly I don't know exactly how to fix the ammo problem... As a solution I'd suggest removing the savage recipe of getting gunpower from ammo boxes by using a hammer....

I will ofc mention you as the base formula the edit and also the original creator, what do you think?
