Step 1: Find a way to extract the raw files from the mod's pak file. If you don't know, google is your best friend.
Step 2: Once you've done that, find the file called "match.activeitem", open it with your text editor of choice.
Step 3: Edit whatever values you want.
Step 4: Put the edited files in your starbound's mod folder. Note that doing so will conflict with the original version of the mod if you still have it subscribed.

i know, there is a mod that does ammo amazingly in my opinion, "superior firepower" but i think its dead too

If you want a functioning ammo system i suggest you look elsewhere as other mods like FFS and Rexmeck's multiplayer guns had done that already. This mod never used ammo in the first place.

Also it's currently abandoned lmao.

i want to see things getting interesting, put an ammo system in the equation, lets see what sort of masochistic maniacs this could attract

Maybe, people can make stuff aka Extensions for this mod?
Thinking about it you have the whole Json/Lua files or whatever this mod uses in it's .pak
and someone could find out what does what and use that to make Extensions.

for starbound, reloading with the R key wouldn't be good, in my opinion, i think Shift+LMB feels more organic, for some reason, mods like, Lyetzi and FFS haven't thought of that, but fracking universe did, and it works great, you could litterally put a grenade launcher on an M16, and have it fire the nades with RMB and normal fire at LMB, it wouldn't obstruc how you play, and you can keep the fire button pressed and only tap shift occasionally to do a quick reload.

could just do some more lua magik to make it so you press r to reload but can't be arsed, it is what it is

it would be better in a playstyle point of view if the melee was RMB instead of Shift+LMB

What a shame, this would have been a nice addition but perhaps in the future the project can be revived. For what it is it's a nice mod.
