reminds me of mutant from YOMIH (dispite this being made before it)
Titanium Chimera 25. jan. kl. 19:01
Bro the theme that plays when he wins is a bop
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2024 kl. 10:31
hes based off susano from blazblue and nago from gg
Murgletroid 2. okt. 2024 kl. 21:33
Is Chimera based off/from anything or is this just from you? (Great character btw)
exesivemoder 25. aug. 2024 kl. 9:48
Thanks for clarification! (maybe it's the other way round)
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2024 kl. 8:44
chimera is not related at all
chimera was almost 3 years ago before yomi hustle released

its just a funny coincidence i dont like yomi lol
exesivemoder 25. aug. 2024 kl. 8:29
I can't tell if that was sarcastic because chimeras block is the exact same look as howl and hustle of mutant, they also seem to have the same moves in the pictures I've seen but it's a cool character anyway
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. 2024 kl. 13:27
no lol
exesivemoder 22. juli 2024 kl. 16:13
related to mutant (from YOMIH) in any way?
ArmanGW 9. sep. 2023 kl. 14:14
Really balanced character, especially when the other Stickman fighters are pretty op/broken, not to say they're bad by design but it can get unfair when you're fighting as or against them, love that victory track btw
driver 4. maj 2023 kl. 15:12
risk/reward is kinda a huge part of what makes multiplayer games work at all???

this. THIS is the best thing to grace the workshop with it's glorious presence. Neutral special's combo extension and punish game implications, ridiculous amount of combo routes and kill options, the versatility of air down special in neutral, anything and everything you can do with gauge and how it affects Chimera's game plan, EVERYTHING contributes to Chimera facilitating more play-styles than any character in any game that isnt called guilty gear i have ever seen. This is, from a design perspective, utter dopamine-receptor-frying perfection in more ways than i can fit in a comment or my brain in its entirety. tl;dr gud
Game99Kight 4. apr. 2023 kl. 20:12
this is a great character
MisemonoReverie 6. aug. 2022 kl. 23:39
It's actually really fun using this character, even more so alongside / against other stickman characters like Fry, Mora, and Parasol
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2022 kl. 8:02
awesome

Annathoth 14. maj 2022 kl. 3:48
easily one of my favorite workshop characters
there is a problem with the grey alt having the meter be black on black so it's not visible
and I personally don't much care for the taunt
but other then that, just, perfect
Erans 1. maj 2022 kl. 21:28

hey, tiny thing I just noticed, if you only do the first part of the jab there's no animation of them returning to their normal standing position, they just snap back instantly

This character is amazing. The effects that go with the character just pop when you’re going toe to toe! The mechanic is really neat, still allowing me to lash out before going on the defensive to grab my opponents that come near, allowing the bar to drop and to make a loop of fun! Sometimes I just drop all tendencies and say “eh,why not” to allowing the bar to fill entirely, and even then despite the risks I’m having a true blast! I don’t know what it is with your characters that I like, maybe I’m just fond of grapplers? Who knows! Not much to critique on, the grabs do feel hard to land but I guess I’ve just got to get gud! Keep doing you with these great characters, you may see me with ztatic and drosera sooner or later!

If I was to change anything myself considering your vision for the character, I would probably just reduce the amount of meter that each individual hit generates by a chunk (maybe 2/3rds of the current?). While it doesn't solve those checkmate scenarios, I think it would likely give him just a bit more room to do things like juggle or land stray hits in neutral without making the meter gain completely irrelevant and easy to manage. Either way, I do like the character as a whole, especially how fluid their damage output can feel at times. Good luck with the balancing, and I look forward to anything else you make in the future!
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2021 kl. 16:58
i have many players that helped beta test chimera that like how the grabs work so im gonna stick with it
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2021 kl. 16:55
one the actual bloodrage does buff many moves like strongs (more range and power) grabs(more power) and dspecial(more range)
and two he is a grappler the whole point for him is to go for grabs
there are already many ways to confirm into grab.
fair nspecial being the easiest
if u do go into bloodrage you can still milk the benefits by going for grabs extending it. the whole point of the character is a slowish grappler that uses grabs to manage a state which has many benefits.
i get what your saying but its really not hard to manage grabs the very most i can do is make one of the grabs better for combing so u can use it more effectively
Inferno 7. nov. 2021 kl. 15:52
I don't think having the meter build by using your basic kit is particularly good for the character, it makes trying to do the very basics of Rivals (advantage state in particular) extremely challenging. It forces way too much reliance on grabs, which are already very limited in their application, and causes the character to become extremely predictable due to requiring grabs every couple of hits.
Inferno 7. nov. 2021 kl. 15:49
As an example of this, I was playing against a friend of mine earlier (he's a Clairen player). I had recently opened him up, landed n-special, and then converted it into a few more hits. Unfortunately, he managed to hit me off-stage, and then started to chase. He covered up-b, side-b, and jump. The only option I really had was to hit him directly, but the problem was that when I did so, I was at over 75% meter. We both got back to stage, but the moment he started pressuring me, I had next to no options. He was spacing at range, so trying to land a grab wasn't really an option, but I couldn't use my larger normals because I would take 50% for trying. This dynamic kind of sucks, and makes the player feel helpless for just trying to use their character's kit.
Inferno 7. nov. 2021 kl. 15:49
The second issue I have is how the meter is built. Nago's meter is purely built up by special moves. He can still use his normals without building meter (they even help him lower it), he just has to avoid specials. At the same time, these specials are incredibly powerful tools that allow him to effectively break the game, so limiting how much he uses them becomes a very interactive experience. Compare that to Chimera building his meter from all but 2-3 moves. This causes a really, really big issue with his gameplay: checkmate scenarios. Basically, if Chimera has hit a lot of moves recently, like pushing a juggle or doing an extended combo, there are a lot of situations where the opponent can effectively force Chimera to pop by explicitly avoiding grab setups.
Inferno 7. nov. 2021 kl. 15:49
While I understand the idea behind the character, I'm not a fan of how the meter was implemented.

In order to explain my issues, I'm going to be comparing this to Nago. First up, Nago's meter is designed to reward the player for good management, whereas Chimera's is purely focused on punishing the player for poor management. Nago's meter actively buffs his normals as it builds, only having a truly negative effect if you let it get out of control. His kit encourages you to interact with the meter in more interesting ways, letting it flow up and down. Comparatively, it feels like Chimera's meter is extremely linear. The only interaction is simply avoiding the meter building up, or letting it pop, both of which have major downsides.

Watermelon 5. nov. 2021 kl. 15:52
@Spider Boi You're right, I just was used to playing characters with fast but weaker attacks. Now I'm used to his moves again and he's still fun

Watermelon 4. nov. 2021 kl. 18:24
He was fun before, but now the endlag on all of his moves are so high that he isn't nearly as fun to play anymore
Waddle² 3. nov. 2021 kl. 21:18

Where is the documentation for this? Important stuff like "grabs lower your meter" and "dodge cancels uspecial" isn't on this page or the empty in game info box.
Spider Boi  [ophavsmand] 2. nov. 2021 kl. 17:37
its if wolf was a grappler
ballistA 2. nov. 2021 kl. 16:52
Is it just me or from the video this character looks like it takes a lot of inspiration from Wolf's moveset?
aqua 2. nov. 2021 kl. 10:52
no problem, and I'll certainly try my best, many thanks
