@quinn - Read the first question in the FAQ included in the description.

Unsure if it's working in 1.5, I'm using LWM deep storage and it says the contents aren't frozen
Good Old Jim 9 Nov, 2024 @ 8:13am
OOPS disregard IM an idiot wrong mod page xD
Good Old Jim 9 Nov, 2024 @ 8:13am
Just a heads up if you use this patch you need to destroy and rebuild all the bugged freezers for it to work.
TurtleShroom 10 Aug, 2024 @ 5:21pm
Does this Mod stillw ork in V1.5 ?
Derrick da Fox 4 Jul, 2024 @ 7:50pm
Yeah, the fridges aren't fridging
Draegon1993 28 May, 2024 @ 2:43pm
It seems like my fridges are drawing power, but not chilling the stuff stored inside. https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/daea3cbe25f107d72b57d544b1bede7e

I was shocked when I saw RimFridge's performance impact in Dubs Performance Analyzer. Thank you so much for this lightweight mod. I just wanted to reiterate a request made elsewhere for a "wall" version Once I discovered that capability in RimFridge I set one up between my kitchen and my dining room, allowing diners to grab meals without going into the walk-in and letting all the cold air out 😅 I really liked it, and was bummed when I had to give it up. There's another mod on the workshop that adds wall versions to your mod, but it's currently not working properly. Anyway, thanks again!
eighmy_lupin 28 Apr, 2024 @ 2:26pm
Yeah its part of the "Lightweight" thing bro
TSense 17 Apr, 2024 @ 11:39am
Q. What is the difference between this and RimFridge?
A. A double RimFridge Fridge holds 6 items, this one holds 2
WithTheFlow 14 Apr, 2024 @ 2:46pm
for the people wanting to use this with 1.5 here is an updated version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3219883811&searchtext=fridge
Xerionus 14 Apr, 2024 @ 4:49am
@vonMort yeah for me the fridges don't refrigerate.
vonMort 12 Apr, 2024 @ 4:42am
Stop the demand for 1.5 before you even begin with it. It works just fine with 1.5 and can be used without issues. At least in my actual run there a no bugs. If the "not supported" warning annoys you, just edit the .xml file containing supported versions.
Bosh 9 Apr, 2024 @ 8:04am
1.5?

Any way to lock the fridges? Or a mod option to limit creatures with sub-human intellect. Put one outside and a stampede of wildlife stole all my food. Naturally I murdered them all to recoup my lost food but I'd like to be able to keep some fridges outside for ease of access.
Lumber Jackson 3 Sep, 2023 @ 6:59pm
Got a weird issue where colonists won't take meals out of the fridges unless I force them to. I keep getting warnings that people are starving even though I have four double fridges full of food. Anyone run into this issue before?
Officer Grey 8 Aug, 2023 @ 12:36pm
Mod still works for me, maybe because I only have 23 mods
danzloblaha13 31 Jul, 2023 @ 4:14am
for over hundred hours on 1.3 worked perfectly, sadly after update to 1.4 it doesnt work for me anymore T-T) maybe conflict in my mod list (doesnt refrigerete stuff anymore) and me lazy to find out ... thanks for mod Sir !! (^-^)/
Taylor7500 31 Jul, 2023 @ 2:51am
Is there any chance you could make compat for Vanilla Genetics Expanded? The genetic material (which must remain refrigerated) isn't eligible to store in one of these fridges, but a fridge in the lab to store them makes more sense than dumping them in a separate walk-in freezer with the food supply.
Beinskalle 29 Jul, 2023 @ 7:15am
Safe to add this to an existing save?
Narlindir 27 Jul, 2023 @ 10:20pm
@sentenza cuz it doesn't go bad
no need to refrigerate afaik
Gyger 27 Jul, 2023 @ 9:51am
Please add sperm samples from the IVF equality mod to the allowed list.
Sentenza 16 Jul, 2023 @ 3:19am
why can't i store medicine, only the herbal one :(
Karmapowered 1 Jul, 2023 @ 8:03am
@julitoole As a suggestion, there is the Hay doesn't need Cooling! mod which allows you to store hay outside of fridges. Quite frankly hay requiring cooling doesn't make any sense [conwayfeed.com] to start with.
julitoole 1 Jul, 2023 @ 6:53am
Hey, I would love for the fridge to accept hay. Thanks for all the lightweight mods.
Karmapowered 17 Jun, 2023 @ 4:55am
I would like to second @Virstag's question.

I think it's always better to explain how things work, rather than leave questions and doubts. Maybe there is some freezing psionic power in VPsyExpanded that interferes with this mod, maybe it's just a quirk of Rim'py.

I'm curious since I switched from the "RimFridge updated" mod (which seems bugged atm) to this mod, and I had no such load order requirement with that mod related to VPsyExpanded.

It would be good to know, if time allows please.
Whiskey 21 May, 2023 @ 4:43am
Love how lightweight this mod is, but is there a chance you may consider adding a "wall" fridge similar to the RimFridge one? Would really make it easier to stick a fridge in between the dining room and kitchen, as well as make true walk-in style freezers.
Narlindir 21 May, 2023 @ 4:33am
do you want me to explain the sorting algorithm to you?
I chuckled at your joke if thats what youre after
Virstag 20 May, 2023 @ 6:47am
@Narlindir

And what does that have to do with my question? I suggest you either read what people say or refrain from giving advice if all you have is the "just do x and that's all" opinion. It is rarely helpful, especially if you evidently don't even read what the full problem is - or even know if there is any problem at all.
Narlindir 20 May, 2023 @ 3:35am
@Virstag use RimPy and be done with it
Virstag 20 May, 2023 @ 2:08am
Why does this mod need to be loaded before Vanilla Psycasters Expanded? I mean, it's not a problem, I'm just curious because I wouldn't have guessed that both mods could have anything in common. Unless your mod allows psycasters to be placed in fridges to dissipate their neural heat or something...
(^0v0^)OriginalOwl 5 May, 2023 @ 2:57am
@novablue do you have Gastronomy installed? I did and had my only table set as dining table, so noone would eat at it
Narlindir 18 Apr, 2023 @ 1:58pm
unlucky
been using that and didnt realize it doesnt work lol
Ill have to test it myself good opportunity to eliminate a mod
NovaBlue 16 Apr, 2023 @ 5:20pm
@Narlindir i tried but does not work.
Narlindir 16 Apr, 2023 @ 9:35am
NovaBlue use RoomFood from Uggggggg
NovaBlue 16 Apr, 2023 @ 9:09am
How do i force colonists to only eat from the fridges that is next to my table, i still have them go to my stockpiles and eat from there without using a table.
Mimi 13 Apr, 2023 @ 4:32pm
he'll yeah beech
thanks sm for this one babe!
Rips 6 Apr, 2023 @ 8:26pm
Awesome mod. Love how straightforward and simple it is being essentially just regular shelves which act like fridges. Means animal based hauling doen't break. Looks much better with the Perspective Storage mod set to hide the fridge contents.
Afropenguinn 5 Apr, 2023 @ 9:28pm
I imagine the hard part would be the glass cover that draws over items
Afropenguinn 5 Apr, 2023 @ 9:19pm
So, stupid question, but how hard would it be to make a re-texture that made it look like Rimfridge? I love the look of Rimfridge, but have encountered a lot of bugs with it.
ASUKA X LILI DOUJIN 1 Apr, 2023 @ 4:19am
wall version if possible? not having to enter a room to dirty it just to pick food would be convenient
Owlchemist  [author] 24 Mar, 2023 @ 6:42pm
Fwiw anyone can make that, they'd just need to slap my fridge extension to the def. Someone made this, for exampe: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2896964726
Narlindir 24 Mar, 2023 @ 4:24pm
can you make a version that can hold corpses?
animal or human
I liked that about RimFridge but this one is more appealing to me
Victor 21 Mar, 2023 @ 6:16pm
Can you make it so it can hold manufactured stuff like Blueberry Mash from [SYR] Blueberries? Does it need to be added individually?
kinonothin 17 Mar, 2023 @ 9:20pm
please add in wall versions
Ulterior The Panzie 16 Mar, 2023 @ 8:01pm
Fair enough, haha. Thanks kindly for the response!
Owlchemist  [author] 16 Mar, 2023 @ 1:36pm
I never personally tried that but I don't see why not. They're just regular storage buildngs.
Ulterior The Panzie 16 Mar, 2023 @ 1:01am
Will prisoners take meals from these tiles?
