I'm still working on the Rise of Islam, but the east-west Christian church split is now generated for save files converted after 450 AD (or when manually setting the year to be after 450 AD using the custom date option)

It was mentioned somewhere here in the comments that youre planning on implementing the rise of Islam and the east west church split. Is that included now?

@cpimentel ~PdS~ It is possible, but it'll be tedious. First you need to run the converter and use the Custom Date setting to convert to 769.1.1, the date of CK2's earliest bookmark. Then after the converter finishes running, go into the Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\(your_mod_name)\history\provinces directory and delete all provinces that aren't apart Ptolemaic Egypt. Likewise go into the history\titles folder and delete all titles that aren't apart of your realm, excluding baronies. Finally, you need to go into common\landed_titles and open titlesDejure.txt, which contains the dejure setup. Delete all entries in there which don't relate to your Ptolemaic Egypt and you should just have a vanilla CK2 game with your Ptolemaic Kingdom added to it.

A question: if i only want to export my country from Imperator to CK2, rather than all the other tages/countries/kingdoms unto an existing CK2 bookmark can that be done?

I really just want to play ptolemaic egypt @ early start date XD

@Briist: Dictatorships currently convert as Merchant Republics by default, but if you'd like to convert them to another government form, such as Imperial, you can change it in the governmentConversion.txt file in the ImperatorToCK2 folder

I know republics convert to mechant republics, Monarchies to feudal and Empires to Imperial but how do dictatorships convert?

@R17: Of course it exists. However converters were always standalone applications, and these steam mods do nothing but point to download locations. Trydownloading it from PDX forums.

@GoldenRaptor007 I apologize for my late response. There isn't a Mac version currently, since I don't have any way to test it on Mac. If you'd be willing to help me test it on Mac or know somebody who'd be willing to help me test it on Mac, I could work on making it compatible with Mac. For now it might be possible to get the mod working on iMac by running the converter on Windows, copying the mod folder and .mod file it generates to a Mac, then changing the directories in the .mod file

There's currently a bug with the converter link on Steam that points to the old version. It can't be fixed for awhile, but until then, here's an alternative link to the updated version:

@Stochastic_congruence Indeed, I haven't had the time to create province history for all of the counties in I:R's wasteland, so those areas will have anachronistic vanilla rulers, cultures, and religions until I have time to fix it

I tested the converter, and it appears that Abbasids (Muslim country) spawn in Arabic peninsula where is a wasteland in Imperator: Rome.

@shinymewtwo99 based on how development is going, do you currently anticipate that each update will be at yearly intervals? simple timeline extender allows for Christianity to appear so not in much of a rush for that update, but would be very nice to have Islam spawn as well in a conversion

@Stochastic_congruence There isn't currently, but I plan to do so in the future. I'm planning to implement Islam in the next update, and then implement Christianity in the update after that. For now I'd reccomend using TinWiz's Timeline Extender Mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2729500336) in order to spawn Christianity in your mega campaigns

Is there a feature that spawns Christianity and Muslim religions in CK2 mod, because they obviously don't exist in Imperator?

I noticed that for example Siberia and co. only have tribal governments and no nomadic governments, is this normal or will it come? or would you rather concentrate on Ck3?

@Wotan von Edelsburg: Imperator:Rome Wonders don't convert over yet, I haven't thought of a good way to convert them to CK2 and other things right now have a higher priority, such as dynamic east/west empire splitting and migration era events. If you have any suggestions on how monuments should convert over, we'd be happy to consider them!

There isn't a division between Germanic faiths, they are all converted to CK2 Germanic Paganism, since that's how vanilla CK2 represents them and since they're all unified as a single religion in I:R.

Has the feature been added that wonders like pyramids that you build yourself remain from Emperor Rome after Ck2? (Because in Ck2 you can build pyramids but only reformed pagans if they have the doctrine PYramid Builder).

Is there actually a division among the Germanic faiths? Because it is known that the Saxons and other central Germanic tribes had an almost exact belief system, like the Nordic belief system, but the Saxons and others had Wodan instead of Odin. Or also the god Saxnot, with the Saxons.

@Labrynian Rebel It is indeed compatible with Invictus. Currently everything converts normally except for Libya, which does not convert because I haven't mapped the new provinces. When I finish mapping it out, Libya will convert as expected

There is indeed a plan to solve this, @猫 ! I'm currently working on events to have Saxon provinces in Britain convert to Anglo-Saxon over time, I hope to have them finished soon.


Scythian is intended to convert as Saka, but if you would like to change that, all you need to do is go into the DataFiles folder and edit the culture mappings in cultureConversion.txt. If you intend to create an entirely new culture, edit 00_cultures.txt in DataFiles\defaultOutput\cultures

I'm looking at the culture conversions and I noticed that there isn't any for Anglo Saxon. Is there any plans to do this and for other cultures that have similar problems with converting like Scythian with Saka. Or is this an easy fix where I can just edit a couple of files?

Despite selecting a save from Documents> Paradox Interactive> Imperator> Savegames, the converter says it cannot find the file
