I always enjoy using your mods, and I think the lack of this mod in 3 is a loss for the game as a whole.
I would like permission to make a 3rd edition mod if you are willing

Was getting a crash mid way through loading a battle. Turns out if your reinforcing army has this unit it will crash. I guess it assumes it is an AI army and crashes. Either way I confirmed that if I instead attack with the army containing the ogres it wont crash.

Hello i hope you disabled the Ai from recruiting this units since it will crash the game please disable them to all factions and only enable to the player to play with in campaign and dwarfs

@Karner15 I believe all factions should be able to recruit them in the ROR screen. I am unsure if custom factions have the ability to recruit

Attrition seems to be completely killing them after a single turn.

btw this mod does work with the Spectator mod for those wondering, so the ai on your team can control it without crashing

@Toumai I can double comfirm once unit is recruited if unit dies, you cant recruit the unit back

Had a lots of fun. There is a little but... once died it is a never will come back ror unit. i was waiting a 150 rounds. i missed the recovering of the unit.

@Skalgrim Fellaxe: if you increase the model size, you may have to tweak the animation metafiles to increase the splash attack radius

Haha yes like that one. Pictures like that have been around for a while and have a certain "grim fantasy" feel to them. Anyhow, I think your ogres are amazing as is. I'll just tinker around with them a bit and see how a giant version looks and feels. If I upload, I'll be sure to give you due credit. Continue to create cool stuff mate, its appreciated.

This is amazing. I wonder if you got inspiration from the images that float around of "templar" looking giants? Because I think a giant version of one of the models would work wonders.

For my own playthrough I remade them a bit, lowering their damage, upping their health and making them a max 3 unique unit for the Empire "Imperial War Ogres". Next up I'll see if I can make a giant out of one of the models as well.

Thanks for this great mod. Its making my Empire playthrough much more enjoyable as I now have a good counter to trolls and other monsters.

Could you do more units bigger in size & also troops and all that? But with the same style, so I could kinda only go with units like these, but with normal ish infantry like them as well?

Wonderfully done units. The slaughter and splash attack they bring is pure joy to watch. The design and quality is top notch. Love watching all the Jam. Hope to see these great units in Part 3. Great job Sir.

I have the mod that lets ogres climb. I also have been blessed to see a wall of these metal boys t-pose up ladders to make my day. Now I've gotta find the custom maps with the most walls and watch them float to victory.

Indeed the current animation is unpolished, and you have some weird stuff happening which are more visible when you scale up the model's size...
I already removed the kick attack as it was way too buggy.

From the Ogre Kingdom trailers ; it seems they fixed at least some part of the animation, but we'll have to wait for TWWIII !

Noticing the unit will charge in quite far despite being held back in guard mode, once it is engaged in melee. Have had a lot of issues with them barreling into the middle of enemy units once engaged. Was able to stop this from happening as often by condensing the formation, so I'm unsure if that's a basegame issue with ogres or just unique to this one here. Might be something worth looking into. Not going to lie, its been a nice minor downside to an otherwise incredibly powerful unit, so I can't really see it as a bad thing. Having to re-micro them everytime they Leeroy into the enemy army has definitely become part of the fun for me at this point. The animations look amazing with the models, and its an absolute joy to watch them during battles. The unit itself feels fantastic and is incredibly satisfying. Awesome stuff, thanks for posting this for us! :praisesun:
