im not a modder so I would like to posit are there any good mods or could someone try to make some mods for serious tax reform, not just the one slider but adjusting individual brackets, maybe even a sales tax reform mod, where instead of taxing income, everything gets a sales tax, so you are effectively taxed on what you spend, ie the rich will be taxed accordingly to their lifestyle as will the poor regardless of how much one earns?

Combating tax evesion must have a negative effect on economy, incriasing uneployment, increase crimes and incriasing prisoners, all that on increasing the governments revenue.

Oh, and SirLagsalott is correct about middle income as well, it would make far more sense to remove all effects on them, as the benefit to the middle income group from such a policy is largely indirect. I disagree that this policy wouldn't be bad for capitalists though. Keep in mind the neural network of the game will spawn some capitalists who are also socialists or liberals, so they'll have a conflicted feeling over a policy like this to simulate the real-world situation where people agree the policy is better for society but don't like having to deal with its effects on their life. :)

When the game says a policy is bad for capitalists it just means it's against the interests of people who fall into that category, not that they'll automatically have an overall negative opinion of it.

If this has any effect on the poor, it ought to be positive? Tax evasion is a problem largely restricted to the wealthy. The equivalent policy that would affect the poor is the welfare fraud department.

Also, as stated below, this policy should actually increase income, (probably as a multiplier on the membership of the "high earnings" category and the amount spent on the policy) as by reducing tax evasion you should be taking in more taxes.

Why does this make Middle Income happy? Wouldn't everyone hate the extra bureaucracy added to an already complicated tax code?
Also, why does this have an effect on Capitalists? This is an issue in the vanilla game as well, with its stereotypical portrayal of all capitalists as rich arrogant people who don't want to support the poor or pay taxes.

This mod doesn't show up is it compatible with clones and drones?

Thanks! This mod inspired my "Crime and Punishment" mod.

Yes it seems a little to spread out

I would say there are too many opinion effects. Delete the Low Income, Middle Income and Wealthy opinion effects, and keep the others.
Sjord 15 Jun, 2014 @ 6:55am
this was absolutely necessary! you just can't get rid of the tax evasion without ruining your revenues completely in the vanilla game. also this is very realistic since real polticians may decide the very same.

Ok,thanks for the responese

@ethan the 'Tax Evasion' situation already reduces almost all your income from taxes, so it will indirecetly make you money.
Naphtha 14 Jun, 2014 @ 12:12am
Did you take into account that you would gsin money because most people wouldn't try to dodge taxs then?(I assume you took into account for the moneyreturned due to making people pay taxs or paying a fine).
Chromeo 8 Jun, 2014 @ 11:01am
Since when do the poor get annoyed about rich people having to pay tax? If anything it should be the conservatives and middle class that have negative reactions about having to pay tax and not being able to blame everything on welfare claimants and the poor positive.

Yeah but Tax Auditors is part of another pack of mods, and i dislike when packing them together due to incompabilities.
