In my current game (v 1.4, I'm in mid-game) I have about a 100 landed reaper ships on the world map and meanwhile every few seconds(!) there is a new reaper landing. Is this normal or did I f*** it up with other mods?

They haven't attacked my settlement yet.

The legacy versions on github of core, n7 and asari & reapers all work in 1.5.
The only reason they're not on the workshop yet is because they're still in development / rework.

The renegade version prevents proper world generation currently, so I'd advise sticking with the legacy version.

Do note that using the popular mod Rim War breaks the asari and reapers mod, asari shuttles will not come to trade and reapers will not raid you (even though they'll still land across the world) because of how rim war materializes traders and warbands on the world map, but neither the asari or reaper have typical settlements to caravans from, thus they never do anything.
If you're going to play with this mod, disable Rim War.

I would like to post this here for those that don't know, this is from the mod creator Oskar Potocki's Patreon, posted back in March regarding the future development of Rim-Effect.

" Rim-Effect was created when I was riding the Mass Effect Legendary Edition hype wave. As I finished the game, the hype died down and I lost interest in continuing the project. Considering it took as much time to make these mods as Vanilla Factions Expanded mods, and it only reached 5%-10% popularity of the VE mods, I couldn't justify spending so much time and effort on them. The mod will be reuploaded by Neronix and will receive 1.5 update on his end. "

I wish Oskar and his team would have continued working and updating the Rim-Effect series mods, I was looking forward to the Quarians and Turians being released however having Neronix update it is still appreciated. Hopefully one day the mod will be developed again and the stuff they are making now is great. :steamthumbsup:

@PapaFenn Do not recommend. It has a extremely bugged Reaper invasion mechanic. You will get spammed by landed reapers events and you can't adjust the landing intervals, you can just turn them off.

Hey just letting people know, and im gonna put this message on the other mods as well, Neronix is working on the mods you just have to get the mod from the Github. Latest update just came out May 12th but does work on 1.5.

It's a great mod and idea would be nice to see more mods that add endgame challenges like this surprising to read about a mod taken over however lol. Cheers people.

I still feel bad that this series is not being continued at the moment. Although I do understand the reasons why due to the burnout and probably only a few people using it. I have only a small hope it is continued. But I again understand why.

So I'm having an issue where this mods forces all my colonists to be Asari. I was only wanting to add Asari to the game, not necessarily be them. Is this intended?

Question, the mod says that Asari can breed with any species, but trying to get two married Asari to make a baby just gives me "pregnancy not possible, both are the same gender" error whenever I try to pick "try for baby". So can Asari mate with each other or am I just dumb?

I saw the reddit post about the RimEffect: Core. Will the same apply to this?
It would be a shame if the Asari and all this Reaper conflict and challenge just disappears.

Alright, well, that's good to know and so I guess it was a strange storyteller behavior that there were so few red events around them. Thanks for the replies!

The fact my colony cannot take care of them in time is the fault of my setup, but being a masochist is on me, not anyone else lol.

I do love the mod, by the way, just want to make it clear. Highly appreciated!

The reaper landing doesn't actually take any events away beyond telling the game that an event occured, they work off of their own timer. And well, years are a long time to deal with a reaper. I don't have the exact calculation in front of me at the moment, but rapid speedup the more are there is intended.

well as the description says, the more reapers are present, the faster they will come.
Changing settings will only apply on the next recalc and won't affect current timers.

Hey, I wanted to report an unintended behavior of the Reapers in my game - they are ignoring settings (both in-mod and in VEventsExpanded) and keep on spawning way too often. I wanted to do a slow rampup game with VE Tribals in a trash biome, so I set them to spawn max 1 a year in Reaper setting, but once I reached the wealth required, I had 8 of them by year 3 and about 6 dark settlements already.

Setting chance to spawn to 0 in the mod settings didn't affect it at all. Setting it to minimal in VEE didn't either. Only disabling it entirely did (it disabled the event entirely). The landings and dark settlement both happened super often, basically each "Red Cycle" with Perry Persistent, usually Reaper, Settlement and maybe 1 more other event.

Working like a charm, only "issue" I noticed was Asari don't have few categories set up for growing up, having Biotech, Asari spawn as fully adult aged 0. I copied (from base game) lines of code for lifeStageAges, LifeStageWorkSettings and bodyTypes into Asari race config and now I'm having proper children and teenagers, no problems at all... If I knew how to make a patch, would do it

Did a search for AndroidQuazar, and in looking at the available Repositories - there is no RimEffect-Asari-Reapers showing up on the list. Only seeing those for the Drell, N7, Core, and Music.

Just a small thing but it would be nice if the change notes were populated, considering there hasn't been an update in a while. It would be nice to know what's been updated.
