Dylanboi, thanks for the nice comment! Vindication from people who use the real deal always makes me happy!
As for the flaps, if you think a lever would be more appropriate I can try that.
I think the original reason I went with the buttons was the flaps had set positions rather fluid movement throughout their range, the buttons are smaller, and easier to use 'on the fly' (so to speak).
But I can give it a try, this aircraft is in desperate need of an upgrade after the pressure updates anyway.

AMAZING as someone who fly s the pa-28 this is a great remake however missed the trim wheel between the seats and could try (i know its easier said then done) but make the flaps lever rather than button arrows

Havoc_Hawk, if you open it in the editor and "poke around" you can see how the shapes slide into place once the aircraft is spawned. Hope that helps, and good luck with your build!

What did you do to create the tail design cause I would love to know how to do that.
GERUNIMO  [author] 12 Jan, 2023 @ 6:15am
victrooQc, the gear on the PA-24's are fixed, you might be mistaking it with the Piper Arrow. Sorry to disappoint. :steamsad:
Gernouille 11 Jan, 2023 @ 8:43am
where is the gear lever?
GERUNIMO  [author] 2 Dec, 2022 @ 6:06pm
ayesian, thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated, and I'm glad you're enjoying the aircraft! I only chose the registration number as it is my birthday and the first initial of my name, Jerry. I had no idea it was connected to a crashed aircraft til now :steamfacepalm:
ayesian 2 Dec, 2022 @ 5:52pm
but as a piper cherokee pilot, i am pleased that it is very realistic! especially the window vent thing on the left window, i really didn't think anyone would get that down
ayesian 2 Dec, 2022 @ 5:51pm
just realized that the registration number of this plane is a fatal crashed plane bruh LMAO
Marre 18 Nov, 2022 @ 12:27am
ive flown a piper cherokee and it was alot of fun and im very happy to be able to fly it in stormworks
GERUNIMO  [author] 11 Nov, 2022 @ 6:32pm
lizard, that is a weird one :steamfacepalm: I tried testing it with 'infinite electricity' off, and in a low physics setting; all seemed to work fine. I'm not sure exactly whats wrong, can you be more specific as to the start-up process you are following?
lizard 11 Nov, 2022 @ 4:56pm
I can't seem to take off, the flaps aren't working for me
GERUNIMO  [author] 30 Sep, 2022 @ 11:54pm
BBoyGamer, I always enjoy getting vindication from folks that have used the real deal, so thank you! I'm also very glad you didn't fall out ;)
Guarpologist 30 Sep, 2022 @ 2:38pm
LOL as someone who has flown this aircraft multiple times irl, this is absolutely accurate down to the latch on the top of the door, which I had forgotten and thought it was broken until I remembered the latch on top of the door.

joel.jarno, thank you very much for the nice comment, it means alot! Congrats on the GREAT landing as well! :steamhappy:
joel.jarno 16 Aug, 2022 @ 12:40pm
This is an amazing plane! It's pretty easy to land, the first time I landed it my landing was smooth. I've never had that with an airplane. Thank you so much for this build!!!!
GERUNIMO  [author] 5 Aug, 2022 @ 10:56pm
flourymicrobe, glad you're enjoying it, and thanks for the nice comment!
flourymicrobe 5 Aug, 2022 @ 9:12pm
love the plane
GERUNIMO  [author] 21 Apr, 2022 @ 6:18pm
jhojoz17, you do not, they are fixed. Just like the real Piper Cherokee (you might be confusing the Cherokee with the Arrow), hope that helps!
no clue 21 Apr, 2022 @ 3:52pm
how do i put up the landing gear?
airicmoen 1 Apr, 2022 @ 1:43am
Cool I understand why now. thought thanks for the reply. :)
GERUNIMO  [author] 31 Mar, 2022 @ 3:33pm
airicmoen, glad you like it and thanks for the comment! Originally this was going to be a Beechcraft however that Plexiglas bubble window was just too hard to pull off and make it look nice, maybe someday I'll take another stab at it.
airicmoen 30 Mar, 2022 @ 12:14pm
This is a great build and if possible id like you to make a Beechcraft Bonanza v35:steamhappy:
GERUNIMO  [author] 19 Jan, 2022 @ 4:31pm
bayleyboo2016, thanks for the comment, I usually try to keep up with my builds and fix them when the game breaks them. Hope you like it!
GERUNIMO  [author] 8 Jan, 2022 @ 7:17pm
HES_1_SHOT_NO_IM_DEAD!, I'll be honest. I've always been a big Beechcraft fan. This PA28 actually started life as a Bonanza. However, the Plexiglas windshield on the Bonanza (or Baron) was the single biggest reason it became a Piper instead. I'll give is a try someday, I have many other projects I'd like to knock out first. Thanks for the idea and the nice comment!
Shotgun_Trap 8 Jan, 2022 @ 7:05pm
It would be very cool if you built one, I personally own one and there really great planes to fly. Your builds are very detailed and a great builder!

Safe flights!
Shotgun_Trap 8 Jan, 2022 @ 7:00pm
Beechcraft Baron?
GERUNIMO  [author] 7 Jan, 2022 @ 1:20pm
daphne.g.green, totally get it. Glad we got you sorted out!
Trevor 7 Jan, 2022 @ 11:33am
kk, well i thought that bc it was a sprat part in merge menu.
GERUNIMO  [author] 6 Jan, 2022 @ 11:18pm
daphne.g.green, You might be confusing the Piper Cherokee with the Piper Arrow, while they look similar, the Cherokee has fixed landing gear, whereas the Arrow's are retractable. Hope that helps!
Trevor 6 Jan, 2022 @ 10:00pm
how do you rise the landing gear?
i tried looking in the logic to the wheels but cant find it, or dons it not rise the landing gear?
GERUNIMO  [author] 31 Dec, 2021 @ 11:40am
Thales, well first and foremost, glad you're back, we missed you! Second, Happy New Year! Third, glad you like the Piper, personally I prefer your Cessna. But, thank you for the nice comment regardless, it always means alot coming from you!
Thales 31 Dec, 2021 @ 8:51am
Running Stormworks after two months break and first thing I do is to trying out GERUNIMO's new airplane. It has the feeling of quality and immersion in details as always.
GERUNIMO  [author] 20 Nov, 2021 @ 10:04am
wolfee0507, oh ok, gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up.

pepefrog69, I think your English is fine! Why do you think you were being mean? Did you have a question?
wolfee0507 19 Nov, 2021 @ 6:12pm
@GERUNIMO

Im saying the prison break heist from gta 5

this plane looks like the velum which is a getaway plane in that heist.
thermal dog 19 Nov, 2021 @ 9:23am
gerunimo sorry if i sound mean i not english so i dont know how to say words good
GERUNIMO  [author] 18 Nov, 2021 @ 4:56pm
wolfee0507, sorry I don't understand, could you be more specific?
wolfee0507 17 Nov, 2021 @ 3:00pm
[Heist failed]
[
[The velum was destroyed.
GERUNIMO  [author] 16 Nov, 2021 @ 2:26pm
Sierra Fox, thanks for the nice comment! Hope to see the Trieste soon! If you don't finish it, I might have to finish mine! ;D

bollemannen, not sure, which movie are you referring to?
SierraFox 16 Nov, 2021 @ 10:57am
Woah ! I took the plane for a flight, and I will definitely do it again ! It's such a pleasure to pilot, just to roam around the islands, I absolutely love it ! Keep up the awesome work man :ngy: !
I might release the Trieste someday, this gives me the motivation to do so...
Lompehøvelen 16 Nov, 2021 @ 7:56am
this is the plane you see in movies that take place in alaska
GERUNIMO  [author] 15 Nov, 2021 @ 10:46am
RickyScarborough, glad to hear it! Happy Flying!!!
BostonTParty 15 Nov, 2021 @ 9:05am
Yes. Could've been fixed in a vehicle update or something.
GERUNIMO  [author] 15 Nov, 2021 @ 8:33am
Thanks for all the nice comments guys, it sure does mean ALOT to me! Happy Flying!!!

EncryptedNeko, no kidding I am VERY jealous!

RickyScarborough, did you get your low engine RPM situation fixed, or are you still only getting 1200RPM?

DEdge77, glad it passed your pre-flight inspection! If this was a REAL airplane, I think I'd stay on the ground that day, as it doesn't look very airworthy! XD

WilliamJ, congrats! If I had my druthers I'd rather take up a 180 versus the 140. More power, more fun!
EncryptedNeko 15 Nov, 2021 @ 1:19am
WOW I OWN ONE OF THESE she a good ole gal
BostonTParty 14 Nov, 2021 @ 2:59pm
Very amazing build, super detailed. Must've taken a lot of effort to get that horizon to look like it did.
BostonTParty 14 Nov, 2021 @ 2:58pm
I can't get the RPS over 12. What am I doing wrong?
DegVentures 14 Nov, 2021 @ 1:29pm
Was very impressed with the detail! I fly Piper Archers (PA-28-181) at my flight school and i jokingly did a pre-flight and was very surprised to see the fuel sumps and antenna where the needed to be! Great work!
WilliamJ 14 Nov, 2021 @ 9:58am
im a pilot in training i have 29 hours on record so far but i only have flown Cessna 172 would love to fly this one day
GERUNIMO  [author] 14 Nov, 2021 @ 9:28am
Thankyou all for the nice comments! I had no idea we had so many training and certified pilots that play this game! Happy flying!!!

Deported_Mexican, "People are dump these days."; if I had a nickel for every time... :D
