This Mod does not work in V1.5 .

This mod showed no initial errors, but when used alongside the beta version of the rimasquerade mod, it spammed red errors and removed the hediff that made kindred vulnerable to sunlight.

Apparently, when this mod encounters a message it doesn't recognize, it borks out and causes the offending hediff to be deleted as collateral damage. If/when this mod gets rewritten, it will need to be redesigned to fail more gracefully.

I only found the conflict by trial and error. It's a hilariously epic bug, I was not expecting it at all.

Would love to see this updated for 1.5 as well. I have missed the last 2 marriages in my cute little chapel and I am so bummed.

This mod needs working on for 1.5. No errors are logged initially, but when testing (damage til down) in dev mode the game failed to report pawns needed rescuing and threw up errors at this point. Error log below:

I made an add-on for this that offers up a letter for when a pawn (colony or prisoner) has recovered (no longer incapable of walking) mobility. The usefulness of which for pawns depends on play-style.

For example, if one prefers to micro-manage colonist tasks, or check on current health status. The main intent however, is for prisoner interaction - specifically releasing for rep ASAP or in the case of Prison Labour mod put them to work)

Given that there is no change in rep gain regardless of prisoner health, releasing prisoners before full health recovery will save a lot of time and resources. If ones intent is to sell prisoners (not recommended due to debuffs) into slavery, please note that the healthier they are, the more profitable they become.

Always seemed odd, and inconsistent, that "Marriage is on!" is a letter, but the actual ceremony, the event that's actually important, is just an easy to miss message at the top left of the screen.

Thank you for the extensive log! It is very helpful. I think I have figured out the issue, I have just updated the mod, hopefully it fixes the issue this time. I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience (and any saves that were potentially lost) due to this mod.

P.S. Seeing users be this helpful brings me great joy haha.

Turns out E1D8_MessageNewMarriageCeremony is causing null errors and issues with dev mode (found it out with some troubleshooters on the rimworld discord)

During the existing save it wasn't a wedding it was an animal hunting a pet it would have the vanilla "so and so animal is hunting pet name" than the "colony pet hunted" in an existing save

May I ask, if the message that is expected to become letters, but stayed as message in existing/on-going save happen to be "beginning their marriage"/"ceremony ... called off"/"celebrating the occasion" or "marriage ceremony ... has finished" message? Sorry I'll clarify it, it basically randomly delays the letter when adding it to an existing save or not show as a letter at all but back to vanilla message form, works as intended on a new save

May I inquire as to how "bug out" in your context meant? Any clarification is helpful. Specifically, this mod throws error when used on an existing save? Or messages prior to this mod remain message and not letter? Thank you in advance.

Update on the issue: turns out it bugs out in an existing save but works as intended on a fresh save :steamthumbsup:

As of recently it sometimes turns into a letter and sometimes it doesn't not sure why
