Updated with @Dester 's suggestions - global work speed now +5% food poison chance now -10%

global work speed and the reduced food poison chance numbers should probably be cut in half, otherwise it seems overpowered. The cooking speed and butchery efficiency look correct.

You're welcome :) it's really just a simple patch. My thoughts were much the same - I wanted all my colonists to carry a handy knife as a sidearm, more as a tool than a weapon. There are other mods that add butchers, cooks knives etc. which I thought unnecessary as there are already knives in vanilla.

I'm working on a larger mod which included this patch and I decided to release it seperately as it affects a vanilla item which might not suit everyone.

You know, I always wondered why Vanilla Expanded didn't make knives useful when they introduced tools. Are knives not tools? They're super useful in a variety of tasks!
