the key <thingStyleCategories> is added without checking its existence which is the case in the 2 mods ......
result : XML RimWorld.CultureDef defines the same field twice: thingStyleCategories.
is there any chance of covering other buildings with it
or other weapons and appearances, maybe some of the VE?

I didn't see it until I saw your comment....and I have to agree with you. Some of these weapons would actually fit in that game.
Ask the VE team to do that, you will probably have to pay them tough xD
No but seriously the VE stuff is all about quantity now. While their quality was great, the lack of updating will be their downfall.
Rooki12k constantly updates his mods with new and better graphics an is now doing a new thing with styles that is awesome. Let him focus on adding stuff to the styles before any talk about other mods support.
