Smartypants, thank you! It's hard to believe it's been almost 4 years since I made this.

Solasta 2 is coming soon!
Insufferable Smartypants 1 Jun @ 8:10pm
That was a lot of fun! Looking forward to taking another group through it.

DWAR, thanks for reporting back with a fix!
DWAR 13 Dec, 2023 @ 3:46pm
Ok, figured it out, its the Enable Save by campaigns/locations toggle. for some reason that was preventing me from saving, and even auto saves from showing up.
DWAR 13 Dec, 2023 @ 3:31pm
Tried disabling unfinished business and I can now save, but I prefer to use that mod, so I guess I will tinker around and see if I can find what setting is causing this.
DWAR 13 Dec, 2023 @ 3:04pm
The only mod im running with this is unfinished business and as far as I know i am on current version of Solasta with all dlc.

DWAR, saves used to work fine with this module. Are you sure there's no binary mods interfering? Which version of Solasta?
DWAR 13 Dec, 2023 @ 1:37pm
So I cannot seem to save the game in this module, and when it auto saves, I cannot see them when I try to load from the main menu. Am I missing something or is this meant to be played in one session?

@charles_watkins glad you enjoyed Yendor! No current plans unfortunately.

Now I've completed the Vel collection. (As someone who spent an ungodly number of hours on Rogue, Yendor was my favorite.) Any plans for a new one?

Charles, thank you!
charles_watkins 18 Apr, 2023 @ 1:30pm
A whole lot of fun! Lightweight but fast moving with some good fights. I just wish I'd been able to get in to the audience and put on a performance they'd never forget.

Thank you JamaicanMeJacket! That was very kind of you.

I have had a blast running through this meat grinder for the last few days with my friends and even solo. Testing a few comps and just enjoying the fast paced campaign. You really feel the pressure of whether or not you can afford to use that last spell slot or take a short rest. The constant pressure is exactly what I was missing in the base game. There is no blowing your entire days load and then just long resting after one fight. You forced us to think and make decisions, position well, synergize and work with your teammates. This felt professionally done I'm thoroughly impressed! Anyone looking for a combat focused campaign that will require good comps and smart game play must play this.

thank you Mordring! glad you enjoyed it :)

I wanted something I could complete relatively quickly and I recalled this module so I finally got to play it :)

As per usual with your modules, Sir Vel, I had a blast and I see myself returning to this one to test my party compositions, both vanilla and modded.

This run was vanilla. As for the party, I felt a bit nostalgic today so I went with Paladin Casavir, Ranger Bishop, Druid Elanee and Sorcerer Quara. Most veterans will certainly recognise those names :)

Compared to Ode to Yendor it was easier but still kept me on my toes in a couple fights (of course I deliberately delayed to face all challenges at every stage).

Thank you for another fun experience!

Thanks for the feedback brothersword43!

It is a decent mod, I probably wont finish it, but that is about par for the course with me and most mods. The simple "plot" is actually the most fun part, like Gladiator Manager or something. The announcer rushing you along was also really great, and the extra fights for not running towards the end is also a cool idea. But those fights need a bit of work.
brothersword43 6 Apr, 2022 @ 6:21pm
In the 3rd run you fight veterans and necromancers that have 4die chill touches. That is at least level 15 power levels, faced at level 5. The fights kinda slog if you don't power game your character builds. But if you do that half the challenge from making creative character builds is lost due to having to play generic optimal builds. Every fight I have beat has leveled me up two levels, That is a little on the bloated side for the heavy stats. And the bad guys just teleporting in on higher ground to surround your party destroys any party placement or stealth strategy It is not impossible, but it is actually less fun then more shorter fights of a more reasonable level.

Lockindal, glad you're having a blast! Unfortunately there's no way to procedurally generate dungeons on the fly in Solasta. That would be cool though.

I am *almost* done (i think) with my run on my iron man "custom hard" (below cataclysm, but harder than authentic) mode and I am having a blast. Any chance of making a RNG dungeon in the future in this style? :D

I've had to make the call to abandon loot a few times, challenging at the later floors so far, even for my party of life domain cleric, rogue/ranger (mostly ranger), way of iron monk, and sorc with a splash of pal squad.

I won't be surprised if I don't end it on this run though, I've died to a couple of surprises - mostly mobs running away into deadly adds (looking at you, certain creepy crawlers that pop up at lv 7)

bpamorsen, thank you for the feedback!

I have just finished this campaign playing casually on authentic difficulty.
Overall, I think it is great.

The story, while simple, is executed very well.
I very much liked the way the maps are made in that you have to consider whether your party can take another fight for the chance of extra gear.
The combat encounters feel well balanced for the most part.
One thing that I didn't like was the stress that out of combat time matters a lot; I can imagine other players liking that aspect, but it was not for me.

1 change I would like to see would be more creature variety in the endgame; It wasn't bad as is, but I think it could be better.
