Does this thing even work anymore? Being that the ice/helium mod is out of date and otherwise dead now?... Can you upload a version for the current version of the game? :) Please and Thankyou
skyfox585 14 Jun, 2015 @ 11:53pm
this takes very long to load

I've created a new larger Earth asteroid but I haven't been able to upload it to the Steam workshop.
Details of the asteroid are here:

Cant wait for the mountain ranges! thats all this is missing. :) will mess around on the current until that is added though.
Screaming Angels  [author] 1 Mar, 2015 @ 12:55am
I've been meaning to regenerate these with different voxel materials for a more realitic look, and trying to work in a altitude map during the generation for mountain ranges. I haven't had enough time lately to look at it as I'm traveling OS currently.

Could you add the Moon? With the Moon this would work great with the NASA mod.
Grim 12 Feb, 2015 @ 10:46am
Hey iwas wonderiing if you could post this and the dwarf planet and mon asteroids on the workshop so i can use them of the maps i make for survival. this new update allows that which i happy to hear and hopeing you can help get my favoite asteroids you make.

I have made a World with a 700 meter wide planet. Very processing intesive to load. At the time ~15 min load time.

Im not sure if this can be optimized any more but this planet concept works beautifully, especially with atmosphere mods.

I managed to make Earth and Mars about 3-4 mins of travel time in between.

I sadly like a idiot deleted the save So I will start from scratch again.

I would be great to have this work orbiting sattelites.
Dr.'StrangeLove 2 Jan, 2015 @ 8:55am
VERY NICE!!!!

Great Work!
I Decided to leave asteroids on to help shape the Planets Geography "Naturally" :D
can it be made to work with the Exploration mode?

I'm trying to add an Atmosphere to it also but i think it's too big, so it's kinda like a side bubble atmosphere. Terraforming?
joemorin73 23 Dec, 2014 @ 6:18pm
It lacks a certain sexiness. Is there a gap or a line?
Screaming Angels  [author] 23 Dec, 2014 @ 6:16pm
Having asteroids next to one another looks like this:

I want to make a larger asteroid than the 1000 meter, but obviously this will not work. Would it be possible to "fake it" by making 8 parts and placing them appropriately?
Vinier McNuggNugg 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:21pm
mmm ok
Screaming Angels  [author] 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:18pm
It's the same as all Space Engineers asteroids. It is a voxel structure, which in its nature, is a cube. Stations cubes can be slipped into the asteroid face.
In fact, on the sides which face the most extreme axis (like the N/S poles), you may be able to slip station cubes deep down into the asteroid without the game stopping you.
Vinier McNuggNugg 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:17pm
it looks like its built to the grid with picture 3, becuase you would normally need to be the record holder of patience to do that perfectly with the normal grid
Vinier McNuggNugg 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:16pm
or where when you mine its even instead of regular estroids witch are bumpy and are enoguh to kill a ocd person
Vinier McNuggNugg 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:15pm
like if you mine some of it out and youre placeing a staion, itll go in easily. becuase its built to the station block placeing grid.
Vinier McNuggNugg 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:15pm
like where if you mine some of it you can esily place a block. like its even with the staion block grid
kinda hard to explain
Screaming Angels  [author] 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:14pm
@theclucker : What do you mean? :profgenki:
Vinier McNuggNugg 30 Nov, 2014 @ 3:05pm
so...is it build to grid?
Acarii 30 Nov, 2014 @ 6:21am
Just use the one for venus. Literally no one's done venus and venus is pretty smooth so it's a good test. Although at SE scales that might not be good.
Screaming Angels  [author] 29 Nov, 2014 @ 9:46pm
@EveCommander : Oh yes. I would need a good altitude map. Maybe even a ocean depth map.
Acarii 29 Nov, 2014 @ 2:49am
Could I convince you to build a map with custom topography? You've clearly done well with oredistrobution and all I need to feel complete is topography on a planet map.
Screaming Angels  [author] 13 Nov, 2014 @ 3:25pm
@Kolleg : The field only extends 5000m out from the asteroid.
Kolleg 13 Nov, 2014 @ 1:05pm
hi there, awesome planet, thank you!
One thing I recognized is that the gravity field seems to be over the full map - can that be reduced somewhere so that only the planet itself has gravity and stops at a certain radius?
Screaming Angels  [author] 24 Oct, 2014 @ 5:14pm
Now with gravity field!

@Moofrog : It was done with very specialized code for those asteroids. I'll need to have a look at adding the code into SEToolbox and creating some new interfaces. I've been busy added other features to SEToolbox of late to merge asteroids.

@hekatonkheires : Anyone can add asteroids to mine. Space Engineers allows you to spawn stock asteroids with random materials in the Shift-F10 menu. The purpose of this world is to share my content (the asteroid), not KeenSWH's content.
Moofrog 11 Sep, 2014 @ 1:19pm
Hello there! Awesome Mod! How did you add the ore to the "Asteroid"? And on another picture I saw that you had like layers of Ore on Tope of Each other! I really liked that! I want to be able to do it too for some special asteroids we need for our dedicated server project! Can you give me some hints? =) Thx A lot
hekatonkheires 31 Aug, 2014 @ 10:06pm
What about adding asteroids to mine? I just want the planet to build on.
Screaming Angels  [author] 27 Aug, 2014 @ 3:34am
I've been trying to upload an update with a gravity generator, but SE keeps refusing to upload to the workshop. I've logged a bug on the Keen forums.
@yuma2270 any bigger, causes Space Engineers to crash.
yuma2270 27 Aug, 2014 @ 12:30am
Why do not you be able to make a planet of 2000m?
hekatonkheires 26 Aug, 2014 @ 11:16pm
Do you mind intergrating the Planetary Gravity Generator in this map by default with 1k of uranium?
Squidy The Cowboy Catgirl 8 Aug, 2014 @ 5:16am
Yea, after about 20 minutes I tried again and it worked, everything seemed fine other then I can't leave the asteroid...
Screaming Angels  [author] 8 Aug, 2014 @ 5:10am
@Elodie Princess Of Nova ; I just tried it on a clean Steam profile and didn't have any issue like that.
Only the spawning in the center of the asteroid issue, so I've moved the whole thing to the side so players spawn outside. If that doesn't fix the issue, then you will have to look at your Log file generated by Space Engineers.
It might be that the asteroid is too big for your computer to cope, but usually that causes Space Engineers to crash to desktop.
Squidy The Cowboy Catgirl 8 Aug, 2014 @ 3:40am
It seems when I open the map it downloads some mods but then it just takes me back the main menu? Any idea what's happening?
Screaming Angels  [author] 7 Aug, 2014 @ 8:40pm
This map now uses the new Space Engineers Mods and a modded material pack I've created to restore the Ice and Helium materials.
No more messing around with downloads or files. Just subscribe, open and play!
Screaming Angels  [author] 5 Aug, 2014 @ 6:14pm
Keen are making changes to Mods currently causing this to be broken. So there isn't much point in me updating this until they work out how it's going to work. Hopefully Keen will release the changes this week, allowing Mods to be published.
Draconis Metsuke 1 Aug, 2014 @ 7:17pm
Also would it be possible(in the future either through mods or through the base game) to use ice to water planets in a greenhouse of somekind, it would be nice if there was MORE to do than mine and build stuff.
Draconis Metsuke 1 Aug, 2014 @ 4:41pm
can't you just move the "asteriod" to another coordinate? i have NO CLUE i havent opened up the editor, but i know in Hammer its possible to move objects to other coordinates.
Screaming Angels  [author] 31 Jul, 2014 @ 4:21pm
Nope, it's a new Space Engineers bug. For some reason the player is spawning at co-ordinate 0,0,0. Which in this case, is in the middle of the asteroid. I'll see if I need to fix up save content later tonight.
Draconis Metsuke 31 Jul, 2014 @ 12:23pm
Ok have the modded flie placed properly, dont know if it was the update last night but the planet refuses to load at all, the keen software building is there but the planet is non existant LOL
Draconis Metsuke 31 Jul, 2014 @ 11:02am
Thanks, much apperciated, later when the game has(hopefully) more ores and materials im gunna try and add an actual atsmophere to your planet(would allow your suit to not lose power unless your using tools or jetpack), p.s is it possible to make the planet naturally have its own gravity?
Screaming Angels  [author] 30 Jul, 2014 @ 11:52pm
@=(eGO)= Draconia(S.HS) |LMC|
I updated the modding instructions with a downloadable version.
Draconis Metsuke 30 Jul, 2014 @ 11:10pm
I cant seem to mod the file properly any help would be appreciated, You should probably just upload the voxelmaterial file to adfly or something so you dont have to manually mod the file yourself. I've tried copy paste and manually typing the whole thing into voxel materials no luck
Shalloa 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:47am
Oke thnx.

I understand that I dont need the full mod fot thid to work.
How ever the best part if this mod are the ores. So in a way I / we do need it ;)

Thnx for the support and fast reply.
Screaming Angels  [author] 23 Jun, 2014 @ 4:18pm
I haven't tested this with multiplayer, but I would suspect they would need the mods too to fully enjoy the blue and white parts of the planet.
As described though, you don't have to have the mods to have fun with it.
Shalloa 23 Jun, 2014 @ 2:50pm
If i import this in to my game with the other mod. can other people still join my hosted game or do they need to have this as well?
Icecream 12 Jun, 2014 @ 3:17am
