sheva_75 1 Jul, 2023 @ 11:59am
Im in Caer Nekor, perhaps there is a abit more? :)
sheva_75 1 Jul, 2023 @ 11:52am
When you are finished and are in the city is there a way to export your characters?
vel  [author] 16 Sep, 2022 @ 10:38pm
Earendil, scenery IIRC
Earendil 16 Sep, 2022 @ 8:52pm
Ah I see, must have forgotten to interact with that. Inside the castle there seems to be a room on the east side with a single door leading into it, but the door is not interactive--is this just scenery or is there a way inside?
vel  [author] 15 Sep, 2022 @ 7:30pm
Earendil thank you. There's an object on the statue that acts as a key to open the door. However, you should still be able to go to the next area without that.
Earendil 15 Sep, 2022 @ 4:59pm
Great campaign with fun combats so far, just wondering if I missed something on opening the door on area 5, explored the whole area and looted everything but the door will not open
wolfenring2009 8 Jun, 2022 @ 10:02am
ok yes i understand it is a different campaign i thought at first it is the same only newer
vel  [author] 8 Jun, 2022 @ 5:40am
wolfenring2009 Vel Leverage is different, it's sequential, a loot canon. While Vel Explorer is open world with more normal loot pacing.
wolfenring2009 7 Jun, 2022 @ 3:37am
is it the same as vel explorer ?
vel  [author] 25 May, 2022 @ 3:10pm
Ahriman, thank you for the feedback! This one is intentionally a loot canon. It was also my first full campaign. Since you liked Vel Explorer, try Vel Ode to Yendor!
Ahriman 22 May, 2022 @ 6:42am
Hey there,

I just finished this campaign, it was a bit dissapointing comparing to the Explorer you made, most areas seemd like empyy arenas or corridors with just combat encounters one after another. Did not feel like actual forest, castle or sewer.

Fights were hit or miss, for example last fight (Dragons) were considerbly easier than all the blue soraks you had to face before to get there. The last fight in the city against named warlord, was deacent.

Far too many magical items and loot in general, there was nothing to do with all the gold i collected.

thanks Derrilin!

I can confirm that it is possible to complete on Cataclysm, but you have to have pretty much a power build party. Neat campaign though, thanks.
vel  [author] 31 Mar, 2022 @ 11:22am
Acadiantri, thanks for the feedback!

For others, be sure to play on normal difficulty, not scavenger or cataclysm. It's hard without boosting enemy hp!
Acadiantri 30 Mar, 2022 @ 11:27am
Oh, and the warlords were annoying too. So many hp, action surge, second wind. Even multiple spike growths only slowed them down.
Acadiantri 30 Mar, 2022 @ 11:20am
Nice job. That's a beautiful village you created for the last setting. Need to fill it up with people and stuff. Or add lore saying the given the fighting, everyone must be inside hiding. Really felt empty. Most of the maps did. Didn't mind as much in Ode to Yendor because the story and the recurring NPCs kept me interested. Didn't find any of the battles that challenging. But I brought a paladin this time, so when he hit level 10, the party became immune to fear. And spike growth trivializes any melee focused mobs. At the end, it was the rogues who were the most annoying. Again, good job.

nstepak, it's not necessary to re-enter the inn, though it's the first camp site you'll find. There's no script to re-enter, though, it should just be a normal blue exit/entrance where you came out of the inn.
nstepak 23 Jan, 2022 @ 5:34pm
I think I might have broken one of the scripts with the ziv vampire brood. I went outside killed the four vampires in 3 rounds. I don't think the script played out fully. I can't get back into the inn. Think everyone is supposed to die inside, but am not sure. This was at the inn with the second part.

Thank you nstepak!

Enjoying this so far. Once again, I am using my Level 12 party. Have found quite a bit of good crafting material, enough for the Punisher Battleaxe and the Stormbow. Filling in details. Found a girdle of giant strength, a replacement for Gauntlets of Ogre Power. Figure that I will be able to get my items maxed out in this particular dungeon. There are some other interesting unique items as well.

Have found parts of this dungeon are really excellent. I like the opposing evil party. Also, the spiders are great. Still stomping everything.

DeLastOne, Vel King of the Hill is my only level 12+ campaign. I prefer creating level 1 through 12 campaigns so you get the full arc of character experience. Vel Escape from Solasta has fast progression, though, have a look.
DeLastOne 1 Jan, 2022 @ 1:34am
Hey Vel. This adventure was really really awesome. Loved it !
I have leveled up my chars up to 14 when playing it... and now that I am done I cannot use my group anymore :) any chance you will design more adventure like this one for 12+ levels ?

rlglea3 good tip. cc (crowd control) spells are among the best ways to deal with Shikkath or any high resist / legendary resist encounter. Be prepared for the spell to fail a time or three first though!
rlglea3 18 Dec, 2021 @ 7:24am
My party consisted of a Druid (Circle of the Land), Cleric (Life), Rogue (Spy) & Wizard (Shock Arcanist). I found that using my Druid to control the battlefield (using Lvl 2 Spike Growth spells) & party-wide action economy were key to every battle, especially with the Shikkath & other challenging encounters.
vel  [author] 17 Dec, 2021 @ 7:36pm
Gale, thanks for the feedback! Try Vel Explorer, it was made after Vel Leverage and has a much gentler difficulty curve.
Gale 17 Dec, 2021 @ 3:49pm
This was a lot of fun, on the whole! My only issue was the excessive use of Shikkath later on - having to fight whole groups of them, all with high saves, legendary resistances, and legendary actions was way too much of a difficulty spike, especially when you fight them before you have access to Heroes Feast, and have no way of countering their AoE fear effects other than spamming Calm Emotions. After they were dealt with, no other enemies posed half as much of a threat, which unfortunately made the ending of the module feel somewhat anticlimactic. I did enjoy my time, though, and I'll definitely be trying some of your other campaigns. Thanks for making it!
vel  [author] 17 Dec, 2021 @ 11:39am
rlglea3 thank you!
rlglea3 17 Dec, 2021 @ 9:49am
Great module...played all the way from LVL 1-12 to the very end!
Babarigo 7 Dec, 2021 @ 9:20am
Just found them by exploring. Thanks for your answer, I guess I should have been more patient.
vel  [author] 7 Dec, 2021 @ 8:28am
Babarigo, the bulk of the crafting recipes can be found in the second map, the catacombs with Sorak, in the armor room and there are more in the third map, the necropolis. There's no merchant who sells crafting recipes, this is by design, there's only a limited crafting selection to control loot/gear.
Babarigo 7 Dec, 2021 @ 8:11am
I have a question: where can I find crafting recipes for weapons?
My party is level 6 and I have plenty of primed weapons and other components to craft magical weapons but I don't have any recipe. Do you know where I'm going to find some?

Thanks humanrights05!

Great campaign; thanks for the content. I was looking for something new to play on Solasta after they released the new Primal DLC. This is a great way to try out the Barbarian and Druid classes and get to level 12 without having to re-do the original campaign.
vel  [author] 30 Nov, 2021 @ 7:40pm
rogerhwbaxter, thank you! Every door has a key (either an actual key or a key item) and nearly all of them have an alternate way of opening (plate activator, button, etc.). I don't require rogues and usually failing a lockpick check just means you need find another way in.

It's a bit hard to discuss in the comments here but feel free to contact me on the Solasta Discord vel#5446 https://discord.com/invite/uu8utaF

Hi Vel, brilliant module so far, just like Wanderer! Quick question - there are quite a few locked doors on the map with the point-of-no-return prompt which I haven't been able to open. Knock and thieves' tools are a no, and things like true seeing, fly, item interactions with statues etc. haven't turned anything up either. I feel like these doors are openable - are they? Great module, great combats, looking forward to more
Diniman 26 Nov, 2021 @ 1:54pm
thanks for the update! Will try to carry on!
vel  [author] 25 Nov, 2021 @ 8:08pm
Thieves tools are not required for progression in this campaign. There are always multiple ways to get past a locked door or trap. Thieves tools are in the starter gear at the beginning and randomly drop from certain monsters too. Good luck!
Diniman 25 Nov, 2021 @ 1:43pm
Hi. Can you progress without thieves tools? I´m stuck at level 2 with a ranger, barbarian, cleric wizard. I have thives tools prof, but no thieves tools? Any sugestions?
So far so good :)
