The instructions above say you can set your forward speed using trim and to return it to neutral for position hold ability.
Go find something you can comprehend.
My helis with the ducted fans were built before props were able to be hidden and are not as refined in that area as my newer models. However they are perfectly controllable, even precisely.
Any trouble in that area is pilot error.
@caiden.boat: You probably don't have physics set to high.
@MGP5_5: Are you using a cable and not a rope for the harness? It works fine for me.
Honestly guys, I know you don't actually want a helicopter. You want an airplane that just happens to LOOK like a helicopter. There's nothing wrong with that, but when it comes time to do a precision landing, I need to be able to turn the damn fan off and have it actually BE a helicopter!
Seems there's a recent bug where the winches don't auto stop when fully retracted so if you hear the storage winches running thats what is causing it. Reported it on the issue tracker.
Thank you! I found that out a few minutes after that, me and my friend had been flying it for several hours beforehand and had been very frustrated. Definitely one of our favourites!
The sling controls are in the cockpit on the center console between the seats.
I try to make aesthetically pleasing vehicles that can actually be used and are easy to operate.
THE SEA STALLION IS MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE AND THIS NAILS IT:-)
Thanks!
It's the Omni Dingo.
It will hold current alt on its own anytime you change altitude. It also has an altitude hold function in the autopilot for manually setting a desired altitude.
On the AP panel the ALT function can be turned on with or without either HD or WP hold. Then the +/- touch controls will change desired altitude in feet.
I don't like a bunch of faked systems with 100 switches that all look identical... I try to keep it "realistic for stormworks" I want it to look good and work well in SW.
Also when I have to start it up hundreds of times in testing... I like automation and quick startups... lol
I probably won't do gunners on these as the gunner positions take up so much room... I only did it on the OH40 since it's a blackhawk clone and they basically have a gunner position built in that doesn't interfere with anything else.
You can delete the drop tanks and put missiles or torpedoes onto the hardpoints. Basically anything fire and forget will work.
